Dess raised her hand when a mat with an AM opened up. "My turn!" she cheered.
"Good luck," I waved.
No, I didn't mean that literally. Luck didn't play a factor in unlocking one's potential. That was all up to the person, or in Dess' case, the fairy in question. I didn't doubt that she would do well though. Dess was a gifted warrior, and her potential as a shieldmaiden was high. So long as I subtly guide her in the right direction, that is.
"I'll see you after, Will," she waved back.
Her parting smile was as wide and warm as Liara's cold shoulder earlier had been frigid.
I sighed. Thinking about the she-elf annoyed me.
"Anything wrong, Mr. Wisdom?" Master Doomsday asked.
"Girls are hard," I blurted. I didn't mean to. I was just so out of it that it came out like that.
