Taylor Granny's voice was still faint, "These children, they all have defects that other orphanages don't want to take in. If I don't take care of them, they won't survive! I really want to live a few more years, watch them grow up well, watch them survive... watch..."
This world is like that, some are born as princesses, precious beyond measure. Some are born with disabilities, and even surviving is a luxury.
But every child is the same, born unfortunate, it's not their fault!
Amelia remained calm and looked at Taylor Granny who was about to close her eyes. Suddenly, she made a major decision. "From now on, I will help you look after them and make sure they survive!"
Taylor Granny's pupils widened for a moment, and then slowly closed her eyes with a smile on her lips.
Noah Foster then noticed that every child there had a disability. Some of them couldn't speak, and several of them were deaf and mute.
Noah Foster couldn't help but cry. She finally understood why Taylor Granny did what she did, whether it was for money or for the orphanage, it was all for these children!
She also understood why Amelia said what she did in the end!
Taylor Granny had passed away!
Amelia and Noah Foster helped the group of children deal with Taylor Granny's affairs. It was already getting dark, and they had to return to school!
"Are you afraid, Dorian Gray?" Amelia asked him seriously.
"I'm not afraid, I will never be afraid!" Dorian Gray said as if making a pledge, his eyes red.
"Okay, in three days, I will arrange everything and come back to find you! During this time, take care of them!"
"I don't need you, I can do it myself."
Dorian Gray's eyes were filled with disgust and vigilance towards the world after Taylor Granny's death.
No more words were exchanged between Amelia and Noah Foster. After leaving, Noah Foster asked in confusion, "Why let them live on their own for three days? Wouldn't it be better to send people to take care of them now?"
Amelia shook her head, "Just send two people to hide and protect them. I have to let them know that to survive, they must learn to live independently! This world is very tough. I not only want to watch them grow up, but also watch them be able to survive on their own!"
Amelia remained calm throughout, from Taylor Granny's death to the room full of disabled children. Under this calmness, she thought so much. Noah Foster thought that this was perhaps what made Amelia so attractive.
She was cold-hearted, yet soft-hearted as well!
Once she decides to do something, she does it well.
She began to design the renovation of the estate. Since it was an orphanage, she would make it a real one. Then came the necessities of life, clothes, supplies... After all, with so many children, big and small, Amelia planned it out and wrote several pages full!
Most of these children were unable to attend school, much like Amelia with her autism back then. However, she was lucky enough to meet Tyler Davis, who could provide the best teachers for whatever she wanted to learn. Amelia decided to hire several special teachers with disabilities to give these children a chance to learn. She would create the conditions, but their future success would depend on their own efforts. People have never been equal, but life is still good!
...
Amelia thought about returning to Grace Manor early tomorrow morning to give Tyler Davis the ointment and have him prepare the necessary items for her. She had a deep sense of dependence on Tyler Davis that was not like an ordinary lover's. Perhaps it was because she had grown up under his care all these years. She did not intentionally draw a line between herself and Tyler Davis to prove that she did not like him for his money. She simply needed Tyler Davis and his help, and she was proud of it.
Amelia worked late into the night to plan everything out. Noah Foster had helped her a lot, even though it was her own trouble to deal with. Noah Foster was now exhausted and asleep next to her bed. Amelia helped Noah Foster lie down and gently covered her with a blanket. Noah Foster was always selfless and meticulous in her efforts towards Amelia. A girl like her deserved to be happy for her entire life.
It was already eleven o'clock when Amelia finished everything. Although it was so late, she had no intention of going to bed. She still calmly took out her books and began to read. Her expression was calm and indifferent, as if she would never forget her studies no matter what happened. This was truly a confirmation of her belief that as long as she was alive, she had to keep studying.
The next day, Amelia woke up early, possibly because she had something on her mind. It was still dark outside, but she got out of bed anyway. Without hesitation, she left school and went straight to Grace Manor. She felt that if she didn't have her green card, she would have been expelled countless times for her frequent coming and going.
She left before six o'clock and arrived at Grace Manor just as the sun was rising. It was a little past seven o'clock, and the villa was still quiet. Tyler Davis had never been a good sleeper, and no one dared to disturb him if he wasn't awake. Only the servants were busy with their work.
Amelia ran directly into the villa and up to the second floor. She stopped at the door, listening to her heart pounding like a drum in her chest. She didn't know if it was because she ran too fast or because she was so happy to see Tyler Davis again.
It had only been a few days, but she was so excited to see him! Amelia pushed the door open without hesitation and walked in.
Tyler Davis was naturally alert, and he woke up the moment Amelia pushed open the door. As he lay in bed, his eyes opened wide with a fierce look, staring in the direction of the door. When he saw Amelia come in, Tyler Davis seemed to be stunned for a moment, and then his expression softened. The cold atmosphere in the entire room warmed up immediately!
Tyler Davis, who had just woken up, was a lot less intimidating than usual. He wore a loose-fitting sleep robe that exposed his sturdy chest. His short hair was slightly tousled, and the scar on his face had fallen off, replaced by new, pinkish skin. He looked nothing like the unattractive man he used to be. In fact, he appeared to be a handsome man straight out of a comic book, shrouded in a dreamy haze.
Amelia, at first glance, felt as though she had been enchanted by a fairy.
She walked towards Tyler Davis dazedly and climbed onto his big bed. Her little face was right in front of Tyler Davis's.
In a soft, tender voice, she said, "Tyler Davis, you look so handsome!"
