The other roommates all gave a strange look at the person who lost their wallet. The exposed girl was so angry that her face turned red, and she really wanted to rush over and shut Julia Kim up, but she didn't dare to move due to some taboo regarding Amelia.
"Julia Kim, come out with me," said Amelia. She didn't want to get involved in other people's dirty business and added, "I'll have someone come and replace the broken lock."
Julia Kim obediently followed Amelia out.
Amelia originally came to express her gratitude, but after seeing this scene, she realized that Julia Kim's life wasn't easy either. It was too melodramatic to just say thank you now. Instead, she decided to help Julia Kim in a substantial way and asked, "Do you want to change dorms?"
Julia Kim shook her head and stuttered, "N-no... I already changed before... it's all the same."
Amelia sighed inwardly. This girl had obviously been bullied too much. Where did the courage she had to come out and save her when facing so many people go? "Go tell the supervisor, pack your things, and move to my dorm," Amelia instructed.
Julia Kim's eyes suddenly widened as if she heard something unbelievable. She stuttered for a long time before finally nodding her head busily.
After comforting Julia Kim for a few more words, Amelia went to notify Noah Foster. Knowing Noah Foster's temper, she knew she had to persuade her well.
As expected, Noah Foster almost exploded when Amelia told her about the situation. "No, I don't want to. I can't," she said. She enjoyed spending time with Amelia so much, why did they have to bring in another stuttering person? There are so many people in the world who need help, it's impossible to help everyone!
"I told you before, the person who happened to save me when I was surrounded was Julia Kim. Consider it as repaying her kindness. It's not comfortable to owe someone forever," Amelia said.
Noah Foster hesitated for a moment before finally relenting. "Okay," she agreed. She herself couldn't resist Amelia's charm, even if she were a man.
So Julia Kim moved in, under the constant snorts and disapproval of Noah Foster. But her shy expression never changed, and she didn't dare to speak randomly. However, her eyes shone a lot more than before. Every time Noah Foster looked over, she could see Julia Kim secretly looking at Amelia, her eyes more eager than when she looked at a man.
When she looked up, Julia Kim lowered her head again, like a timid young wife. Amelia was not in the mood to pay attention to the undercurrents between them. With Julia Kim no longer being bullied, she felt relieved and thought that she would have a chance to repay her kindness in the future.
Amelia became even more silent. Every day, except for exchanging a few words with Noah Foster and enduring Julia Kim's admiring glances, she spent all her time reading books. The lamp in her room stayed on longer into the night.
Amelia looked a bit haggard, like a tightly stretched string. Noah Foster was worried that she was putting too much pressure on herself. But the days passed by like this, and Amelia waited for Professor Lee's notification while busy studying.
After dinner that day, Noah Foster appeared restless, as if he wanted to say something to Amelia but didn't know how. Amelia, immersed in a pile of books, noticed and asked, "Noah Foster, what's wrong?"
Noah Foster was startled by Amelia's sudden voice and looked a bit strange. "Amelia, why don't you take a break today and accompany me somewhere?" Noah Foster rarely made such a hesitant request. He never disturbed Amelia's studies and even took care of her daily affairs to make her life easier. So, for him to make such a request, there must be something very important.
"Where do you want to go?" Amelia put down her book and asked.
"I... I want to find Ethan Miller, but I don't have the courage to go alone. Can you come with me?" Noah Foster's face turned slightly red.
Only then did Amelia remember that she had asked Noah Foster to try and find that cold mountain man, Ethan Miller. She felt a bit selfish for never thinking about what Noah Foster needed, and for not even being aware that he was too shy to disturb her studies with this request.
"Okay, I'll go with you." Amelia agreed without hesitation.
Noah Foster nodded, and then, like a brave warrior, took Amelia's hand and walked out with big steps. When they arrived at the male dormitory building, Amelia walked straight towards the building, but Noah Foster grabbed her and said, "You're not going to go straight up, are you? Saint Hua has strict rules, and the security guard won't let you in."
"What should we do?" Amelia was not familiar with this kind of thing and looked at Noah Foster helplessly.
Noah Foster took a deep breath, took a few steps forward, cupped his hands around his mouth, and shouted, "Ethan Miller, I like you! No matter how you look at me, I like you, and I won't give up!"
Amelia was stunned. The entire male dormitory building was stunned. What happened to not having the courage? This style was definitely Noah Foster's! After shouting, Noah Foster turned to Amelia with a smile, revealing his white and neat teeth, looking sunny and cheerful as if to say, "See how cool I am? I just said it out loud!"
Amelia couldn't help but smile as she watched the scene unfold, but she didn't actually laugh, instead watching as the smile on Noah Foster's face froze. Suddenly, a bucket of water was thrown from the third-floor window, drenching Noah from head to toe and splashing onto Amelia as well.
"Get lost, don't show your face in front of me, disgusting," a cold voice came from the third floor.
Noah continued to smile bravely, trying to convey that she was fine, but her wet hair dripping with cold water looked like tears falling from her heart.
Amelia looked indifferently at the third-floor window, offering neither comfort nor anger. Any reaction was normal for that iceberg of a man.
"I said it out loud, see, it's nothing, just a bucket of cold water. I won't give up," Noah said determinedly.
Amelia took out a tissue and wiped the water off Noah's face. "It's nothing," she said.
In the boys' dormitory on the third floor:
"Isn't this going too far?! After all, she's a girl!" Caleb Smith couldn't help but say.
"Too far? That woman is capable of doing far more outrageous things," Ethan Miller's cold voice carried a hint of disgust.
"Well, now that woman has become the laughingstock of the whole school. Are you happy now?" Caleb Smith shrugged and said no more.
But Ethan Miller was not happy. Thinking of the smile that looked like crying, he couldn't describe the feeling in his heart. While hating that woman, he also couldn't help but watch her, as if it had become a habit after so many years.
Unnoticed by anyone, in a room in the boys' dormitory, the window was open wide, and a tall, dark-skinned boy leaned out, looking worriedly at Noah Foster. With a simple and honest expression, he showed a rare look of heartache.
