And so, Amelia took care of Tyler Davis for several days. After staying in the VIP ward for seven days, Tyler Davis was finally discharged. He walked out of the hospital still dressed in his sharp military uniform, with his coat draped casually over his shoulders, exuding a powerful and domineering aura. As soon as he stepped out of the door, he once again became Major General Tyler Davis in everyone's eyes; he was Tyler Davis, and he could not appear weak.
However, it was Amelia who had changed his clothes and personally witnessed the dressing of his wounds. He was only able to leave the hospital by the skin of his teeth and was not yet strong enough to return to his former self.
This was Tyler Davis's pride, but it made Amelia feel a bit distressed. She did not leave with Tyler Davis, but instead, Tyler Davis had Jacob Anderson take her back. Naturally, she had to return to school. She had left without permission for more than ten days, and she didn't know how she would resolve the situation.
On the way back to Saint Hua, there were only Amelia and Jacob Anderson in the car. Suddenly, Amelia spoke up and asked, "Jacob Anderson, who was behind the assassination attempt on Tyler Davis?"
Jacob Anderson, who was driving, almost lost control of the car. Not answering was not good, but answering was not good either. After some thought, he managed to spit out two words. "Classified information."
"Is it related to Dylan Grant?"
Jacob Anderson did not answer. Instead, his silence made Amelia more certain of her suspicions. It wasn't Dylan Grant, but it was related to him.
Amelia's mind was a bit chaotic. She kept thinking that in her past life, she was the only one who was clueless like a fool, not knowing anything. Tyler Davis, oh, Tyler Davis, just how much do I owe you? I'm afraid I'll never be able to repay you in this lifetime.
Amelia felt overwhelmed. Instead of seeking revenge, she chose to stay at Saint Hua to save people. However, despite her focus on saving people, she couldn't control her hatred towards Dylan Grant.
She could temporarily tolerate others who had harmed her, but not Dylan Grant. This was because Dylan Grant's target was not her, but Tyler Davis.
Jacob Anderson stopped the car on the outskirts of Saint Hua. After all, he was someone who was by Tyler Davis's side, so it was not appropriate for him to be too close to Saint Hua.
Amelia had been thinking about things, but as soon as she walked to the school gate, she regained her composure. She had been away from school for so long and had to face the troubles that lay ahead. When she reached the guardhouse, she was stopped.
It was not yet time to return to school, and she had no leave approval. It was only natural that she would be stopped.
After proving that she was indeed a student at the school, the guard took her directly to the academic affairs office.
There were several people in the academic affairs office, each quietly doing their own work. As soon as Amelia walked in, everyone looked at her. As a department that punishes students, it naturally exuded a sense of austerity that all academic affairs offices had.
"This is Amelia, who left the school without permission. She didn't apply for leave or report anything, but instead played a little trick and left the school for a total of fourteen days," explained the guard to the academic affairs staff. He didn't seem to have any emotion about Amelia's situation, probably because he had seen such things happen too many times.
"Amelia, do you know the consequences of leaving school without permission?" asked a balding middle-aged man
Amelia frowned slightly, realizing that she had violated Saint Hua's school rules. Whatever punishment the school decided to impose would be justified. But if the punishment was expulsion, what would she do? Argue? Refute? She fell silent, searching for a solution in her mind.
"Now you're afraid? It's too late. How could you leave without permission in the first place? I'm telling you, pack your bags and leave on your own."
Amelia couldn't just accept her fate. She could accept any punishment except expulsion. Saint Hua's rule of expelling students at the drop of a hat was truly frustrating.
"I had a special circumstance that caused me to leave the school. I admit that I was wrong, but I only ask that the school not expel me. I can assure you that I will be the best-performing student in recent years, and I will graduate within a year. Please give me a chance."
Amelia made it clear that she would graduate within a year and hoped that the school would be lenient, given her outstanding performance.
The balding middle-aged man couldn't help but laugh, "Haha! The best student ranking last? You must be joking."
The young man with glasses next to him impatiently said, "Alright, let's solve this quickly. It's such a big deal that we can't work."
Amelia's heart sank. She didn't expect these people to give her any chance at all.
What could she do now? The only thing she had to offer was her grades.
Amelia couldn't just give up. She quickly said, "The previous exam was an accident. Give me a chance, and I can pass all the subjects in the first half of the semester."
Saint Hua had only been in session for a little over two months. Amelia made a bold statement, hoping for a chance.
But she didn't expect that the people in the academic affairs office didn't care about talent or academic achievement. They only cared about discipline. Once it was violated, they imposed punishment.
Just then, the door of the Academic Affairs Office opened and in walked a person. At first glance, Amelia recognized her as the dehumanizing woman, Professor Lee, who taught them neurosurgery.
"Bring this semester's midterm exam papers and let her try," Professor Lee commanded without any room for questioning.
Earlier, when Amelia questioned the middle-aged bald man, he exclaimed in surprise and called out to Professor Lee, "Director, is this necessary?"
"Bring them," Professor Lee responded with no hesitation.
A dozen or so exam papers were thrown on the table all at once. Amelia was pleasantly surprised by this sudden opportunity and thanked Professor Lee. Without further ado, she sat down and began to answer the questions.
For a while, no one paid attention to her. When it was time for lunch, everyone dispersed. The bald man left with a warning, "Don't try to cheat. There are cameras in the Academic Affairs Office."
Professor Lee placed a piece of bread on Amelia's desk without saying anything.
Amelia didn't respond and didn't even know if she had heard it. She was still focused on answering the questions during the lunch break, and continued to do so when the Academic Affairs Office resumed work in the afternoon.
It wasn't until around three in the afternoon that Amelia suddenly stood up, looked at Professor Lee, and broke the silence in the Academic Affairs Office, "I'm done."
Her voice was a little hoarse, and the bread was still on the table. She had not eaten or drank anything for almost a day, and her prolonged concentration made her look somewhat unwell.
Professor Lee raised an eyebrow, surprised that she finished so quickly. She took the exam paper and distributed one copy to each person present for on-the-spot evaluation.
