Chapter 118 - Conversation with Tyler Davis

Noah Foster didn't smile because Amelia's gentle expression was too solemn, making it seem like her heart was burdened by millions of mountains, unwavering and unquestionable.

Noah Foster understood some things, but also didn't understand. She didn't know that Amelia was a person with autism, but pretended to live and study as a normal person. It wasn't fun or funny, and it required a level of perseverance and determination that others couldn't imagine.

Moreover, she had to break her own calm demeanor and reveal her sharpness to attract attention.

For Tyler Davis, she could endure everything calmly and appear gentle.

Now that her sharpness was beginning to show, she didn't know how many people it would attract. It would be best to catch the attention of the Saint Hua Medical Research Institute in advance, all for Tyler Davis, the one she longed for in her heart!

Tyler Davis!!

During this time, she tried to control herself from thinking about him. But now, various emotions regarding Tyler Davis rushed over her, and this sudden impact made Amelia remember something terrifying. Her face turned pale in an instant!

Amelia grabbed Noah Foster's wrist in panic and asked, "What's the date today?"

"What's wrong? Today is October 10th!" Noah Foster responded in surprise, not understanding why Amelia suddenly became so agitated.

"Noah Foster!" Amelia gasped for breath, her voice trembling. Her face was now completely pale. "Noah Foster, please help me get a phone. I want to make a call outside... I need to make a call now..."

Noah Foster saw that Amelia's expression was extremely abnormal. Just a moment ago, everything seemed fine, but now she was almost crying out of anxiety and had run out of the room. "I'll go get it for you. Don't panic. Wait for me for five minutes," Noah Foster said.

Noah Foster didn't know what happened on October 10th, but she knew that Amelia, who had always been cold and indifferent, was on the verge of tears.

Amelia anxiously waited in the dormitory. Suddenly, she slapped herself. How could she forget? It was on this day in her previous life that she and Tyler Davis had quarreled, causing Tyler Davis to become furious and go on a mission that led to his assassination.

Tyler Davis was seriously injured, with his lungs being damaged, and he had to spend half a month in the intensive care unit to barely survive. As a result, he didn't take care of himself well afterward, and he would cough and even cough up blood from time to time.

But she didn't witness Tyler Davis's injury in her previous life, so she had overlooked such an important event in this life. This time, she didn't quarrel with Tyler Davis, and he wouldn't lose his mind. Everything would be fine.

Amelia tightly pinched her fingers. She had been reborn and changed the trajectory of her past life, and these things would surely change along with it.

After a brief moment of daze, Noah Foster quickly ran back with a small phone in his hand and handed it to Amelia. "Quick, it's for you!"

Amelia took it, too shaken to even thank him, and tremblingly dialed Tyler Davis's private number with her fingers.

"Ring...ring...ring..." Her fingers turned white from the tight grip, and she silently prayed for him to pick up.

The phone rang several times before someone answered on the other end. "Hello, General Davis is not available at the moment. This is his deputy Jacob Anderson. How may I assist you?"

Amelia was taken aback that it was Jacob Anderson who answered the phone, and she suppressed her emotions and spoke in a low voice, "This is Amelia. Where is he?"

There was a pause on the other end of the line as she heard some faint noises.

After a long time, Jacob Anderson's respectful voice came through. "Miss Amelia, please hold on. I'll get the General on the line."

"Amelia."

It wasn't until Tyler Davis's familiar voice sounded in her ear that Amelia's heart finally settled.

"Tyler Davis, are you okay? What are you doing? Don't go to the east side of the city today, got it? Tyler Davis..."

"I'm listening. I'm happy to hear from you, Amelia! How are things going for you at school? Is anyone still bullying you?" Tyler Davis asked in a gentle tone.

"Tyler Davis, I'm fine. Just promise me you won't go to the east side of the city today. I'm serious," Amelia emphasized.

"Okay, I promise. You take care of yourself and if you need anything, go to Jacob Anderson. I have something to deal with right now. Goodbye, Amelia!"

"Okay, remember not to go to the east side!" The phone hung up.

Amelia breathed a sigh of relief. Thank goodness nothing had happened. Otherwise, she wouldn't know what to do!

...

On the other end of the phone!

"General, hurry, send him to the hospital!"

"Contact Ivan Petrov and prepare for surgery."

"Put the whole city on alert and head to the hospital at full speed."

Jacob Anderson held Tyler Davis's blood-stained personal phone, his face pale as he directed the operation.

The Brigadier General had already passed out, but just a moment ago he had insisted on answering Miss Amelia's phone call, with a gentle expression and softly urging her to study hard. Jacob Anderson couldn't understand how he had managed to do that.

Was Miss Amelia's call more important than saving a life?

...

Amelia handed the phone back to Noah Foster with a smile. "Thank you for today."

"Not at all. What's up? Is something wrong?" Noah Foster asked curiously as he saw Amelia relax.

"My family is having some trouble. I'm worried, so I wanted to make a call."

"Don't worry. Is everything okay?"

Amelia's smile suddenly froze. Was everything really okay?

As previously mentioned, Amelia was smart, so she could guess with a high degree of certainty that Tyler Davis had avenged Quinn Cooper and Aria Davis on her behalf. Now that she calmed down and thought about it carefully, Tyler Davis's tone and attitude were all off. He was clearly suppressing his anger when insisting that she attend school, but her response had been too calm.

Tyler Davis's tone and attitude were too gentle, as if he wanted to give her all the tenderness he had left.

Something was wrong. Tyler Davis had only given her his personal phone number. How could he have given it to Jacob Anderson?

Could Tyler Davis have gone to the East Side? The thought made Amelia break out in a cold sweat, her face turning ghostly white.

She snatched the phone back from Noah Foster and dialed Tyler Davis's number again. The phone rang twice and then disconnected.

She tried again. "The number you dialed is currently turned off..."

Amelia's face was as pale as a ghost, and she bit her lip hard, trying to control the shaking of her whole body.

Tyler Davis was in trouble!

"Noah Foster, I need to go home," Amelia suddenly said, her voice trembling slightly.

"Go home? Do you need to take a leave? I can help you with that."

"No, it's too late for that. I need to go home now. Can you help me distract the guards later?" Amelia widened her eyes, tears unconsciously falling as she whispered her request.

She knew it was wrong to ask Noah Foster to do something like this, and she might even drag him into trouble, but she had no choice. She had to ask for his help!
