Amelia spoke calmly, but she was really annoyed. Her nerve structure was different from other girls'. It was not satisfying or fun for her to have a handsome guy following her around from time to time. It was just annoying, really annoying!!
Caleb Smith took the basketball and laughed sinisterly, "This isn't good. I have a lot of strength. It would hurt if it hit you in the face."
Although he said that, Caleb Smith slowly backed away and gestured with the basketball towards Amelia's face as if he could throw it at any moment. He wanted to test what kind of trick Amelia was playing. She couldn't possibly want to get hit, could she?
But he saw that Amelia was calm and standing firm in her place. It was as if she was really waiting for the basketball to hit her. Caleb Smith suddenly felt angry.
"You'd rather take a hit than have me move farther away? Am I so detestable to you?" Caleb Smith snorted.
"Uh-huh," Amelia nodded honestly. She was really fed up.
Amelia was an extremely reclusive person. She had fallen in love with Tyler Davis, so for her, there were only two types of boys in the world: Tyler Davis and everyone else. And these other people were affecting her life and studies, so how could she not be annoyed?
Caleb Smith was really angry. As a proud child of the heavens, Saint Hua's girls all adored him. Although pursuing Amelia was originally malicious, Caleb Smith felt that her obvious disgust was unscientific.
This was the narcissistic emotion that arose from extreme self-confidence.
In a fit of anger, Caleb Smith was about to fiercely throw the basketball at Amelia. But Amelia still didn't flinch or even move her pupils. Her eyelashes didn't even tremble.
Caleb Smith was so angry that he coldly snorted and threw the basketball at Amelia's feet. It bounced up high and rolled far away.
"I don't hit women!" Caleb Smith snarled, showing his sharp tiger teeth. His fierce and cute appearance would have caused screams of motherly love from his fan club if they had seen it.
Amelia didn't even look at Caleb Smith as she turned and walked away, casually saying, "Since you're not going to make a move yourself, don't bother me again in the future."
Caleb Smith watched her walk away with a dumbfounded expression. He couldn't remember the last time he had been so looked down upon. Not mentioning his family background or his own abilities, he couldn't help but feel that his harmless baby face was being taken advantage of by people of all ages. When Amelia provoked him like that, he couldn't just let it go.
After that, Caleb Smith quieted down and even his strong backing remained low-key. Finally, Amelia could enjoy some peace and quiet. She spent all her time in the library reading books, flipping through them quickly and effortlessly, as if she were simply scanning through them.
Although the beginning of her college life was somewhat lazy, this was Saint Hua, and even the lazy had to put in some effort. Of course, someone like Amelia, who spent all day in the library, was rare.
Amelia was unwavering in her pursuit of reading in the library, even as she heard people whispering across from her.
"I've never seen anyone read like this before, flipping through books so quickly. She's probably just here to make herself look like a good student, but she's not really absorbing any of it."
"I've heard she's been trying to please several professors like this, pretending to be a good student. I wonder how long she can keep it up."
"What kind of good student is she? She even dared to seduce my crush, Caleb Smith. I heard she's also tangled up with a new student in their class."
"She probably thinks she's attractive, but her grades aren't good, and she barely passed the military training assessment. What right does she have to stand next to my crush? She's just been pretending to be a good student for so long. Let's see what kind of grades she'll get on the next exam."
These people didn't take Amelia seriously at all, and sat opposite her, speaking loudly enough for her to hear every word. Amelia couldn't help but feel angry.
"The library please be quiet!" Amelia looked up and calmly uttered these words.
The people around, who were reading, frowned and looked over at the group of girls who were talking non-stop. The girls suddenly looked embarrassed and angry, and glared fiercely at Amelia before quietly leaving.
"Humph, let's go. We'll see her true colors during the monthly exam," one of the girls said.
Amelia continued to bury her head in her book, calmly finishing her work for the day before leaving the library. Many people thought she was just putting on a show, but only Noah Foster knew how hard Amelia worked every night, as evidenced by the constantly lit lamp in her room.
Back in her dorm, Noah Foster had bought a lot of delicious food and was inviting her to try some. Amelia chuckled and joined him. Her appetite had improved, and she wondered if Tyler Davis would comment on her weight gain when she saw him in a few days.
"Noah Foster, how is tutoring Logan Hunter going?" Amelia asked while eating.
"Damn it, just talking about it makes me angry. That idiot latched onto me, and I've almost exhausted all my patience. I've never seen anyone so stupid," Noah Foster said.
Noah Foster was the type of person who could easily improve his grades with a little effort, but he didn't usually put in the effort. He had initially felt sorry for Logan Hunter, who seemed pitifully lost, and had offered to tutor him. He had no idea that there were people who could work so hard and still not make any progress.
Noah Foster was getting angrier as he spoke, but even so, he didn't give up. Amelia had always felt that beneath Noah Foster's tough exterior was a gentle heart.
"I know you're working hard. I'm sure the big guy has been bullied by you a lot," Amelia laughed.
"I didn't bully him. I'm giving up my precious time every day to tutor him, and he buys us food and saves us seats. What's wrong with that?" Noah Foster retorted.
"You're right, that's what he should do," Amelia nodded.
Noah Foster was outgoing and domineering, standing at a towering 1.75 meters with a beautiful figure, attracting the attention of everyone. He had become the new female boss within the first month of starting school, a feat that even older students were afraid to accomplish.
If it weren't for Noah Foster's constant protection of Amelia, who was cold and beautiful, she might have been drowned out by the rumors and gossip surrounding her.
Time passed quickly, and it had been a month since school started. Amelia felt a little anxious. Saint Hua was a closed school where students couldn't even use their phones, and Tyler Davis couldn't come here. It wasn't that he was afraid of the power behind Saint Hua, but he was afraid of the danger it might bring.
She missed Tyler Davis!
