Chapter 84 - Final examination

Tyler Davis made a sound of agreement and unconsciously clenched his fist by his side. With a slight nasal tone, his whole person seemed to be slightly more joyful.

Amelia calmly opened Tyler Davis's tightly clasped hand and put her own hand inside before closing his hand again.

"Tyler Davis, what do you like about me?" she asked with her head tilted, like every couple who always ask each other what they like about themselves to confirm their level of affection.

It was something Amelia really couldn't understand. Was it because she was pretty? But her face had been destroyed in her past life, and she was crazily cruel like a madman, yet Tyler Davis was still the same towards her, still willing to protect her with his life. But other than being pretty, she didn't seem to have any other advantages. How could she deserve such treatment from Tyler Davis?

Tyler Davis held Amelia's hand and placed it on his chest, feeling the strong beating of his heart in his chest and saying each word carefully.

"It's because you're Amelia."

It was a serious love confession from Tyler Davis!

He didn't elaborate further, but Amelia felt that there must be some reason for it. Who could like someone for no reason? But she didn't ask.

Where happiness comes from is something that no one can clearly explain. If it was a rabbit, its happiness would just be a pile of carrots.

Tyler Davis's happiness was only Amelia.

...

Soon it was the last day of military training, and Tyler Davis didn't make a grand appearance in Saint Hua like before. He was like an inscrutable behind-the-scenes man, quietly achieving his goals.

Under Noah Foster's strong pressure, Logan Hunter finally passed the written test and successfully created the discipline of Forest Peak's previous years on the last day.

On the last day, Tyler Davis was tough on him during training, and Logan Hunter, who was as strong as an ox, was also shaken by the recoil of the gun, causing his wrist and arms to ache.

The students of Class 6 sighed, thinking that the general must have taken a liking to this silly guy, and his treatment was completely different from Amelia's.

Amelia smiled at this and thought that Tyler Davis must have been a little jealous.

On Amelia's last day, she was allowed to handle the gun. She casually fired a few shots, but everyone was too busy to pay attention to how many rings she hit.

Only Noah Foster, who was beside her, was surprised when he saw the bullseye on her target.

Amelia playfully raised her index finger at him and lightly blew a kiss towards her cherry lips. Noah Foster couldn't help but roll his eyes, but the joy in his eyes was evident.

But Amelia didn't know that besides Noah Foster, there was another person who had ill intentions towards her, who saw the bullseye on her target and had a look of maliciousness in his eyes.

The day passed quickly, and Tyler Davis came to her dormitory again at night. He didn't say anything and just looked at her tenderly, staying until late into the night before leaving.

It's feared that once the military training ends, Amelia will go to Saint Hua for school. On Saint Hua's turf, Tyler Davis really can't appear so easily anymore.

Countless people may have had a sleepless night, as tomorrow's assessment determines who can enter Saint Hua this year. As long as they succeed, it's a preliminary step towards Saint Hua.

Regardless of whether they slept well last night or not, someone has already gotten up before the sky is fully bright.

Students from each class arrive early at the assessment gathering point, waiting as if waiting for the college entrance examination that will decide their fate.

The sky is fully lit, and the morning air is incredibly fresh. The blue sky indicates another scorching hot day.

As a figure like Tyler Davis, he naturally won't be a proctor or invigilator. He sits far away on a high seat, like a god, indifferent to all things in the world.

Coming to Forest Peak to be a trainer seems to be a casual and boring move.

Tyler Davis appears indifferent and doesn't do anything earth-shattering. No one can tell what he's thinking.

Several assessment trainers slowly approach and step in front of the crowd, and one of them steps forward.

"After two months of training, your military training graduation assessment will begin now."

"There are five assessments: written test, 5-kilometer weighted run, pull-up crunch, combat, and shooting. It tests your results over the past two months, based on cultural foundation, endurance, physical strength, skill, and composure. We hope you won't disappoint us."

"Yes! We won't disappoint you!" The students from six classes shout loudly, showing the passion of youth.

"The first assessment is the written test, which is the result of your previous assessment!"

As soon as these words were spoken, some were happy and some were worried. The students in Class Six looked at Amelia. After all, Amelia was the earliest to pass and even got a perfect score.

But after thinking about it, they shook their heads. Even if Amelia got a perfect score on the written test, her weak body couldn't pass. They only thought that she was lucky and wouldn't be eliminated too embarrassingly.

"The second assessment is a 5-kilometer weighted run, carrying a 20-pound sandbag. Everyone, get ready and wait for the command."

As soon as the voice from the high platform fell, each class began to distribute the weighted sandbags. Amelia sighed inwardly. It was a killer assessment right from the start. Her small body was really going to suffer. She carried the sandbag on her back.

Yesterday, Tyler Davis told her not to worry and to perform her best in her strongest areas.

Students from several classes mixed together, and the crowd was divided into two groups to prevent crowding.

"Bang! Start!" The trainer lifted the gun and fired into the sky, shouting to start.

The people around Amelia suddenly rushed out, while she slowly started to run. Seeing so many people moving at once was quite a spectacle.

After running a considerable distance, they heard another gunshot and the remaining three groups also started moving.

Although so many people could have been tested separately, for some unknown reason, they were all tested together, which only heightened the students' competitive spirits.

Along the way, with instructors watching, Noah Foster looked worriedly at Amelia and even thought about secretly taking her backpack. Amelia quickly waved her hand, saying that she was fine, not wanting Noah Foster to make a mistake at such a critical moment.

Noah Foster only glared at the instructor on the side of the road and then ran ahead.

Amelia became slower and slower as she ran, thinking that she had only been in military training for a short time, but her feet had already been injured several times. Her feet, which had not moved much in over a decade, would take a long time to recover to normal.

In just a few minutes, those who started later caught up to Amelia. She had become somewhat of a celebrity, at least among the new students of Saint Hua. A class of poor-performing students, such as class six, actually produced the first place in the written test, which was quite impressive, especially considering how good-looking she was.

It was rumored that Amelia had poor stamina, and now that they were running together, everyone could see how poor it was!

People kept overtaking Amelia, and sympathetic, regretful, and mocking eyes fell on her one after another!
