Before Amelia could react, the instructor spoke in his usual manner. "Since the assembly failed, everyone will run twenty laps around the field," said Instructor Wilson, glancing at his stopwatch and cruelly curling his lips. He then pointed to Amelia beside him and said, "Oh, I forgot to introduce our new classmate. You have five minutes to get acquainted before the run."
As soon as Instructor Wilson spoke, the crowd erupted with free speech. "Instructor, did you make a mistake? Our class size has been decided long ago. Where did this new student come from?" said one student. "Yeah, even though we are ranked last in Saint Hua University and placed in Class Six, it's not like anyone can just walk in!" said another student. "Is this shorty even an adult? How could they be a student at Saint Hua?" said a third student.
Saint Hua University's class division system was simple and crude - it was based on academic performance. Class Six was the worst-performing class, but even the worst-performing students in Saint Hua were among the top outside of the university. They were all proud and arrogant, and naturally looked down on this inexplicable transfer student.
Amelia stood quietly on the side, never caring about what others said or whether they liked her or not. Listening to these remarks, Instructor Wilson curled his lips again as if deliberately stirring up hatred towards Amelia, saying, "This is not a concern for you. You still have four minutes!"
These students, who had already tasted the bitter consequences of angering Aiden Jameson, the smiling tiger, dared not provoke him again, or who knows what the consequences would be. So everyone's gaze shifted to Amelia, as if they wanted to kill her and be done with it.
For years, Amelia's life had been closed and isolated, and she didn't understand why everyone had to be punished just because she was late. Feeling the unfriendly stares, Amelia frowned slightly and took a few steps back.
In the eyes of the crowd, it looked like she was showing disdain, causing many people to change their expressions. It was not a good start to meet all her new classmates and offend them.
Amelia remained cold and unresponsive, simply lifting her head to listen with a calm detachment as the others finally got a good look at her face beneath the military cap.
It was a face as white as a vampire's, with swollen eyes that had become tiny slits, a parched mouth, and several scratches on her cheeks. What kind of torment had she suffered?
"Holy crap, why did Saint Hua have to take in someone like her!" exclaimed one of the boys, unable to contain his shock.
Amelia grew even more indifferent. Even before Tyler, she had always been a solitary and aloof person.
Instructor Aiden Jameson continued to provoke them with a smile, saying, "Alright, time's up. Start running, and I hope you all enjoy your two months here!"
He said this every time, but each time they still couldn't help but tremble. The devil instructor, the smiling tiger. It was said that he had retired from the special forces after being injured. What had their class done to offend him? They couldn't believe they had encountered such a twisted person during military training.
Many students strongly suspected that it was because their class had the worst grades, and he was deliberately torturing them with physical training.
With the order given, even if some were dissatisfied with Amelia, no one dared to say anything and they started running. However, they didn't know how many of the top students were secretly planning to deal with Amelia later. Amelia didn't know what others were thinking; she quietly stood at the back of the line.
Running? For her, it was truly an unpleasant beginning.
Less than three minutes into the run, Amelia already felt like she was falling behind. After only one lap, she was far behind the rest of the group, and she knew something was wrong.
