Amelia pleaded in a weak and helpless tone as she looked towards Tyler. "My head hurts, and I need to sleep!"
After what had happened between them last night, Amelia couldn't believe she had been so reckless. She was only eighteen and knew it was not appropriate, and she didn't want anyone to imitate such dangerous behavior.
Her body ached all over, her head throbbed, and she hadn't slept well. She was exhausted.
Tyler wondered if he should carry Amelia upstairs, but he was unsure if she wanted to be touched that way. Even though she was in his arms, he didn't know if she was comfortable with it.
Seeing Tyler's hesitation, Amelia didn't make any effort to walk on her own. Instead, she snuggled up to him, thinking, "Just try to resist not holding me now!"
"Tyler, take me upstairs to rest," Amelia pleaded with innocent eyes.
Tyler's mind was no longer functioning correctly. Any rational thinking or concerns had disappeared from his mind, and he was just following his instincts.
He carried Amelia to the second floor, and she listened with amusement as Tyler's heart beat like a drum in his chest. It was like the legendary story of a deer crashing around.
Amelia lay down on the bed again, feeling too tired to keep her eyes open. She knew her body was her capital, and she needed to sleep well if she wanted to achieve her goals of revenge and eating Tyler.
Soon, she fell asleep, but in a half-asleep state, she grabbed Tyler's hand and murmured, "Don't leave me... I won't hurt you again!"
The death of Tyler in her previous life had shaken her deeply. Even in her sleep, she didn't want Tyler to leave, and she hoped he could see that she had changed and that she regretted her past actions.
Tyler's smile disappeared as he heard Amelia's words. He froze, wondering if she was calling out to that man she had talked about before, the one she wanted to leave with.
"I will never let you go, not in this lifetime," Tyler said in a low and melancholic voice. The temperature in the room dropped a few degrees.
Amelia, who was still half-asleep, seemed to sense Tyler's emotions. She was highly sensitive to his feelings in this life, and her consciousness became more alert.
With her eyes still closed, she whispered in a soft, tender voice, "Tyler, don't leave me."
Tyler's anxious heart suddenly calmed down. The room's icy temperature returned to a comfortable warmth, and Amelia finally fell into a peaceful slumber.
...
Amelia felt like she had slept for a long time. Her stomach was growling, and she reluctantly got up. It was already 6:00 in the morning on the second day, and she had slept for a whole day and night. No wonder she was so hungry.
She stretched lazily, feeling that her spirits had been suppressed for years, unable to rest well at night. But after relaxing, she slept deeply.
There was a peaceful atmosphere in the room, and when she looked up, she felt very good. Tyler was sitting by the bed, holding a file in one hand, looking down and reading it seriously, furrowing his brows from time to time. His face was so handsome and perfect that Amelia's heart skipped a beat in the early morning.
Outside the window, the sun had just risen, and the sky was tinted with a layer of orange. It cast a warm color on Tyler's usually cold face, making him look exceptionally good and gentle, just like his inner self.
To Amelia's surprise, Tyler's other hand was tightly held by her.
"Tyler, I'm hungry!" Amelia whispered.
She squeezed his hand and then let go under Tyler's gaze.
