Sain had no idea what the high and mighty Dark Magicians in Mosobla City had discussed in their formal meeting.
When he saw his mentor again, it was the night before their departure.
Mosido, his mentor, had an unmistakably exhausted look on his face.
A thick layer of dark circles around his eyes revealed that he hadn't had a proper rest for a long time.
Big Senior Brother Zoro seemed to be in slightly better shape, but the worry between his eyebrows indicated that this journey also posed significant danger for him.
"My tasks at the academy have been too heavy lately, so I could only spare some time to make some lifesaving items for you guys," said Mosido with a sigh.
"But as a reward, if you two little guys or even Big Senior Brother need to take on any tasks during the exploration, it shouldn't be too dangerous for you, considering my reputation."
Sain and Faye couldn't help but show a hint of joy upon hearing their mentor's words.
Even Big Senior Brother Zoro's face brightened up a lot.
However, as one of the first to explore the Space-Time Rift as a prospective magician, Big Senior Brother would still face greater danger than Sain and Faye.
In fact, to many Dark Magicians, Mosido's efforts to plan and arrange for his disciples seemed like a pointless activity.
Dark Magicians, like other magicians in the Wizarding World, value the inheritance of knowledge and the characteristics of their mentorship.
However, at the end of the day, Dark Magicians value themselves the most.
Many official Dark Magicians see their disciples as nothing more than slightly useful experimental assistants, or even as higher-ranking servants than slaves.
Magicians like Mosido, who thinks so much about his apprentices, are definitely considered outliers in the Dark Magician community.
To the point that many Dark Magicians doubt whether Mosido is a pure Dark Magician or not.
If the other party wasn't really from the Western Islands, and specifically invited by Vice Dean Martin back in the day, many Dark Magicians would have suspected him.
In fact, Mosido's current situation had a lot to do with his dwindling lifespan.
With only a little over a hundred years left, the possibility of him reaching the level of a Level 2 Magician was slim.
If there were a few disciples who could inherit his legacy and carry forward his magic and Alchemy, he would have no regrets.
Mosido took out a total of a dozen or so magic props.
Sain could tell from the elemental aura emanating from the surface of these magic props that their quality was not inferior to that of the Acidic Wand of Strength.
Even Zoro, a senior brother who was a quasi-Magician, was visibly shocked when he saw the items that his mentor had taken out.
Among them, four magic props were clearly beyond the scope of Advanced magic equipment.
"You can take these things and divide them up. Zoro, you were the first batch of magic apprentices to enter the Space-Time Rift, which is more dangerous, so you can take two of these formal magic tools," Mosido said.
As expected of Mosobla City's renowned Alchemist, the things that Mosido took out at this time would even leave other formal Dark Magicians in shock.
Giving two magic tools to Zoro was not only because he was the first batch of apprentices to enter the Space-Time Rift and faced more danger, but also because he had the highest chance of surviving compared to Faye and Sain, who had weaker strength.
As the earliest disciple to follow him, it was not surprising that Mosido had a bias towards Zoro.
Sain, of course, couldn't blame Mosido for being biased, and he was deeply grateful to his mentor.
The magical equipment that appeared before their eyes was definitely not just made recently by their mentor. Sain believed that many of them were the mentor's previous collections, which he had passed down to his three disciples.
After careful consideration and advice from his mentor, Sain selected five magical items, the most valuable of which was the official magic device.
It was a black and gray iron can, and according to mentor Mosido, it was a simplified version of the magic cannon that he personally developed.
Even the weakest normal magic cannon in the Wizarding World had the power to threaten second-level creatures, but the simplified version of the magic cannon, redesigned by Mosido, was not only nearly ten times smaller in size, but also had the power to threaten formal Magicians.
The only constraint was that the ammunition for this iron can was scarce, and Mosido only made three for Sain, as he didn't use this stuff on a regular basis.
In fact, even if there were more ammunition, it wouldn't do much for Sain, as his body's Magic Spring foundation was only sufficient to support the release of one shot from the iron can.
If he encountered any danger, he wouldn't be able to activate it again.
In addition to this official magic device, Sain obtained four other magical items from his mentor, including a ring that provided an earth-based magic shield, a magic short wand that could instantly unleash an Advanced magic storm like the Acidic Wand of Strength, a cloak that provided invisibility, and a spatial ring.
As expected, Mosido took care of everything for them, just as Sain had told Lisa earlier.
Ignoring the three functionally diverse Advanced magic tools, what really caught Sain's attention and even made him care about was the unremarkable spatial ring.
This was a spatial ring with an internal space of nearly ten square feet, which was enough for Sain to pack all of his miscellaneous items, including magic books.
Sain had been admiring equipment like the spatial ring since he was a novice apprentice, but the difficulty of creating equipment with spatial properties was something he couldn't touch at this stage.
Even Senior Brother Zoro's Alchemy achievements couldn't guarantee a high success rate when creating spatial equipment.
However, the bigger issue was the extreme rarity of the materials needed for this type of equipment.
Except for the possibility that their mentor Mosido might have enough inventory, even Senior Brother Zoro couldn't get his hands on much of it.
Similarly, it was only with the help of the spatial ring that Sain could carry and use the magic iron canister, which was surprisingly heavy despite its small size.
Even Sain struggled to lift it with his own body.
Without the spatial ring, Sain couldn't use it normally.
After distributing all of his Advanced non-magical items to his three disciples, Mosido told them to rest and prepare for tomorrow's journey to Shadow Valley.
This included Mosido himself, who also planned to get a good night's sleep and recharge his energy.
From his explanation to the three disciples, it seemed that he wouldn't be traveling with Sain and the others on their way to Shadow Valley.
