Chapter 1: A God Among Mortals
Zu Tian was not your ordinary human. Despite his appearance, he was a God, a powerful being who had lived for centuries. He had grown tired of his immortal existence and yearned for something more, something that mortal humans possessed - emotion.
One day, Zu Tian decided to disguise himself as a human and experience life as a mortal. He chose a small village in the countryside as his destination and began his new life there.
At first, everything seemed mundane and uneventful. But as he spent more time in the village, he began to see the beauty in the simplicity of life. He found joy in the small things, like helping an old woman carry her groceries or watching the sunset over the fields.
One day, while wandering through the forest, Zu Tian heard a cry for help. He followed the sound and found a group of bandits attacking a young girl. Without hesitation, he jumped into action.
"You there! Release the girl at once!" Zu Tian commanded, his voice booming with power.
The bandits looked up, shocked to see a lone man standing before them. But as they took in his imposing presence, they quickly realized that this was no ordinary man.
"What the hell are you supposed to be?" one of the bandits sneered, drawing his sword.
Zu Tian merely smirked. "I am but a humble traveler passing through these parts. But I cannot stand idly by while injustice is done."
The bandits laughed, thinking that they could easily overpower this lone traveler. But as they charged towards him, they soon realized their mistake.
Zu Tian moved with incredible speed, dodging their attacks effortlessly. With a flick of his wrist, he sent one bandit flying with a blast of energy. Another tried to sneak up on him from behind, but Zu Tian spun around and delivered a powerful kick that sent him tumbling to the ground.
In a matter of minutes, the bandits were defeated, and the young girl was safe. She looked up at Zu Tian in awe, grateful for his bravery.
"Thank you so much! I don't know how to repay you," she said, her eyes shining with admiration.
Zu Tian merely smiled, his heart filled with a newfound sense of purpose. For the first time in centuries, he felt alive. And he knew that his journey as a mortal had only just begun.
