Working throughout the night, Di Tou did his best to focus on [Unobstructed View] and feel its complexities. This sounded simple, but was rather complicated. When focusing on one's hearing, one could close their eyes and take slow, deep breaths so that one's sense of smell, taste, sight, and feeling were minimised, allowing you to focus on the subtle changes in sound.
But [Unobstructed View] involved several things. The most straightforward of which was being able to look 'within' oneself as well out outside of oneself. If it was just this step, Di Tou had roughly passed it a long time ago, simply closing his eyes and meditating to find peace before looking inside of himself and observing the complexities and changes.
