The baker/butcher's name was Liao, although the villagers called him Fatty Liao. From Fatty Liao's narration, he had learned the village was called Lu Chao Village and was 'renowned for its hospitality', which seemed both true and untrue. From the attitude of the people he had spoken to, the village didn't seem very friendly, and there was the connotation that this friendliness was just something that Fatty Liao had made up for business. However, one figure mentioned that this was due to the recent change.
