A chill ran through her spine. BeiDou quickly whipped her head around but saw no one behind her. Her brows furrowing, she turned around and looked every which way but still didn't find a sign of a person and couldn't help but wonder if she had simply imagined it. Letting out a sigh, BeiDou went inside and once again heard her parents arguing about her marriage.
Rolling her eyes, BeiDou walked past them and pushed aside her curtain to enter her little room. Stepping inside, she went to her desk and looked at her little bronze mirror, only to see an unfamiliar face behind her. Her eyes widened, and she made to scream, but her voice was muffled by a hand over her lips.
