A few hours later, Elder Hua returned. Based off of Di Tou's internal clock, the current time should be roughly around nine in the morning. That meant if he had relied on his internal clock to enter while aiming for noon, he would have entered the trial grounds at roughly three in the afternoon. This would have still given him the opportunity to see four sets of questions, but the amount of time he would have had with the first set of questions would have been quite low. It was a neither good nor bad result. A reasonable reward for a 'half-correct' solution.
Thankfully, Di Tou had guessed right and gotten a full score, giving him a greater chance at succeeding overall. It wasn't a bad reward!
Of course, it was possible that I could skip all of the deductions, not noticing the trick at all, and still enter at a good time, relying entirely on luck to grasp the best chance.
