Perhaps he could have closed his [Divine Eyes] and simply followed what he saw in his Spiritual Sense and cross the threshold, so he wouldn't have the horrifying feeling of jumping down a strange well on top of a mountain top, but that was literally a case of 'closing ones eyes and pretending it didn't exist.'
Although Di Tou's courage wasn't the greatest, at the very least he had the courage to face reality!
After a moment, Di Tou saw several formation lines glow around him, and a moment later, he felt faint spatial distortions. Well, the more accurate saying was that he felt a faint tremor in space that could be perceived in a strange sort of 'sound.' This sound was exceptionally faint, and without a specialised hearing technique, or just a very high cultivation it was almost impossible to pick up, and even if you heard it, it was easy to imagine it was nothing at all.
