The next day, Alexander visited Agnes as promised. He brought along with him two carriages in which he and Agnes would be together and the other would be for the children.
From the window, Agnes had been gazing at him. She wondered how he was going to react once she told him that she wasn't following them, and would like to remain here. She could imagine a deep frown on his face.
He turned his head in her direction as if sensing her gaze on him and Agnes quickly hid. Alex smiled, he pulled his coat together and headed for the door.
Once he was inside, the first person he came across was Florida. The little girl was glaring at him. Alex narrowed his eyes as he walked to meet her, why wasn't she happy?
Before he got to her, she blurted out. "Would you stop deceiving us already? Pull your mask!" She ordered.
