Elvira huddled tightly against Davina's mouth. The intensity in her gaze conveyed to the woman below her that she wasn't close to giving up and Davina could feel severe pain in her cheeks and inside of it.
Blood drew into her mouth which she forcefully swallowed. Her hands struggled against the metal which had her chained, if not for it, she would have charged at Elvira with her fist.
Her mind drifted to Kodiak and she wondered how he was doing. Wasn't he doing well already to come and save her from this misfortune or was he the one giving this woman these instructions?
She doubted the latter. Kodiak had always been kind to her since they were married. He had never touched her and never forcefully asked her to do something.
