Chapter 11 - Chapter Eleven

"Take this bag. It has them in it. Don't forget what I told you either-" Jordan stated before suddenly getting cut off.

"Be well mannered I know." Hazel completed and rolled her eyes.

"I'll drop you off at his club" Jordan stated before handing her the bag. They walked out of the lobby and outside the premises.

Malcolm turned to look outside his window when he sighted them leaving. He saw Hazel picking up a call on her phone and she seemed anxious. She rushed into the car and they drove off.

When they got to the club, Jordan dropped her off. "I'll see you in a while." He stated.

"I have plans tonight. Is it okay if I just drop it off and leave from here? You don't have to pick me up" Hazel explained.

"Alright then. As long as you get the job done, whatever you plan on doing with the rest of your night is up to ya" He replied and drove off.

Hazel sighed and turned around. It was an underground club so she went down a flight of stairs that led to a party underneath the street she was dropped off at.

Music played loudly as she slid through the crowd. She approached a huge man wearing a suit in front of a door. "Hi, I'm looking for uh.." she paused and took out a note that was in the bag, "Mr Musil?"

"The boss? Who are you?" The man asked as he scanned her from head to toe, "Are you his entertainment for tonight?"

'Entertainment?' Hazel was shocked. Did she look like a hooker? She felt embarrassed. "No. I'm here with 'the goods' he ordered from my boss?"

"Let me check with him first" The man replied before opening the door behind him and walking in. 'What a jerk.' Hazel thought to herself as she eyed him and scoffed.

The man came back out and stretched his hand out in the direction of the open door. Hazel threw her hair in his face before walking into the office. The man scoffed and looked away.

"Hello, Mr Musil. I'm charmed to make your acquaintance" Hazel greeted, instant regret flashing through her face as she saw his facial reaction. 'Maybe I overdid the formalities' she thought to herself.

Mr Musil stared at her carefully, his face consumed by confusion, "So you have my shit?" He asked as he rested his jaw in his palm.

"Yes I do sir" Hazel replied and reached into the bag on her shoulder. She dropped a brown package carefully sealed on his table.

He picks it up and opens it to check the authenticity of the package. Meanwhile, an anxious Hazel continuously checks her phone at intervals to see what the time was.

"Alright. It's good stuff." Mr Musil stated after a couple of minutes, wrote a check and handed it to her, "Pleasure doing business with you, Angel."

"Thank you, sir" Hazel replied before rushing out of his office and out of the club. Once she got up the stairs she stopped a taxi and got in.

"Please take me to this address," Hazel asked before showing him the location Kyle had sent to her.

The taxi driver nodded and started driving. Once they arrived at her destination, she got down from the car and paid the fare. After the taxi zoomed off, Hazel looked over at where she was dropped off.

It looked like an abandoned gas plant. "What kind of place is this?" Hazel asked herself. She pulled out her phone from her purse to dial Kyle's number when suddenly someone grabbed her arm.

Frightened, Hazel screamed as she met face-to-face with the person. It was Kyle. A look of relief washed over her face. "Kyle! Hi…what is this place?"

Kyle didn't reply. He looked up behind her, and she slowly turned around. Three hefty goons stood with an average-height man in a white garment and red scarf tied around his head standing between them.

"She's much prettier in person" the man commented as he walked in the direction Hazel and Kyle stood.

"Kyle, who is this..? W-What's going on?" Hazel asked turning to Kyle who stood with a straight face. "Kyle, Answer me!"

The man moved his hand on her back in a circular motion then suddenly jerked her toward himself. She slapped his hand away and turned back to Kyle who still hadn't said a word.

Suddenly, Hazel got turned around aggressively and tightly slapped across the face so hard she fell on the floor. She gasped for air as it was so unexpected.

She cupped the part of her face that got slapped in her hand and spat out blood. The man moved his hand in her direction gesturing for the goons behind him to take her. They nodded and one out of three of them walked to her and carried her.

"Take your hands off me! Stop! Kyle why are you doing this to me?!" Hazel screamed as she looked in his direction.

He did not move a muscle, "I thought you loved me…" She mouthed as she choked with tears.

Kyle ignored her and walked up to the man, "Alright, you got the girl now where's my pay?"

"Relax, we still have to test her, how you say eh, competence. If she's sweet enough for this job." the man replied.

"What? You promised that when you get the girl, I would immediately get my pay. So where is my pay!?" Kyle yelled and grabbed the man by the collar.

The two goons ran to their boss's rescue and knocked Kyle out with a hard punch to the face. He fell to the ground with a loud thud.

"Take him into the other room with her." The man ordered while he straightened his collar. The goons nodded and one of them carried him on his shoulder.

Hazel struggled as hard as she could to escape but the man's grip was too strong for her. "Let me go!" She yelled at the top of her lungs as she started hitting the man's back.

"You heard the lady. Let..go." said a husky voice behind the goon. Hazel's eyes filled with hope when her eyes met who spoke.

It was Malcolm! The goon turned around to meet a hard punch to the nose. The punch was so hard that he dropped Hazel. Malcolm rushed toward her as she yelped in pain from the impact of the fall.

"Sorry. Did they hurt you?" Malcolm asked worriedly and scanned around her body for any bruises. Hazel shook her head and Malcolm nodded. "Let's get out of here."

He held her by the waist and picked her off the ground and on her feet. He carefully placed a hand on her cheek, "I won't let anything happen to you. Not again." Hazel was confused by his words.

"Where do you think you're going with my merchandise?" The man asked as the two other goons stood side by side in front of him. Malcolm stood in front of Hazel and moved her to take cover behind him.

"Just hand her over to me quietly, and I won't have your head severed from your body." The man threatened. Malcolm didn't budge and simply stood straight-faced as if waiting to see what they'd do.

The man motioned for the goons to go after him, they put Kyle's unconscious body down and cracked their knuckles with smirked faces. One of them ran yelling toward Malcolm and swung his hand to punch him in the face.

Malcolm dodged the blow, held the goon's hand and twisted it in the opposite direction. The goon cried in pain and tried to swing his other hand only to get dodged and twisted again.

Malcolm tackled him to the ground with his leg and stepped on his stomach so hard the goon spat out blood.

The other goon who was hit first picked up a crowbar from the ground and slammed it into Malcolm's back so hard it made a sound as though a bone had been broken.

But Malcolm didn't look seem fazed in the slightest and elbowed him in his stomach, yanked the crowbar out of his hand and rammed it into his head.

The goon started bleeding profusely, fell to the ground and stopped moving. The last goon looked discouraged and frightened. "Don't just stand there. Go get him!" The man ordered and the goon ran toward Malcolm who was still holding on to the crowbar.

Malcolm slammed it into the goon's side and stabbed him in the stomach with the sharp end of the crowbar and pulled it out of him immediately causing a splatter of blood and guts to fall on the ground.

The man looked frightened and pulled out a gun from his pocket. With a shaky hand, he pointed it toward Malcolm who was slowly walking toward him with a scowl on his face.

"Don't come any closer or I'll shoot!" The man threatened but Malcolm didn't look bothered. He walked up to him and stood silently. The man pulled the trigger but nothing happened. He pulled again and again but it wouldn't budge.

He then opened the magazine and it was empty. "Shit." He cussed before ramming the empty gun onto Malcolm's head. Malcolm smirked and held the man's hand squeezing it so tightly it turned purple and he broke it.

The man yelped and fell to the ground. He rolled in pain, threw curses and spat at Malcolm. Malcolm looked at him in disgust and kicked him in the head numerous times causing the man to go unconscious in an instant.

Malcolm spat on the man's unconscious body and looked back at Hazel who was in a state of shock falling to her knees on the ground. He ran to her and placed a hand under her chin.

"Hey…it's okay. I'm here now." He said as he stared into her eyes with the most comforting look. Hazel seemed to start calming down and fell on his chest.
