Chapter 23 - CHAPTER TWENTY THREE: I should live my life to the fullest.

"All the people involved in this crime will clean all the classrooms every evening until further notice as a punishment for the victim's parent!" The principal announced making all the other students save for Eleanor Freya and her friends jump in joy as they could no longer do their manuals. Eleanor Freya's mouth dropped due to the shock, how? How could she clean?

Raelynn Lyla on the other hand, smiled amiably exposing her eggshell white teeth thinking of how she could now torture Eleanor Freya. She looked down afterwards and started playing with her fingers while listening to the principal.

"I should live my life to the fullest..." She whispered, pretending to be sorry for Eleanor Freya and her friends. She was actually very happy about the punishment.

"Yes, you must live, laugh and love while you're still alive and kicking!" Spoke a young boy from behind her. Raelynn Lyla turned her head and looked at the young boy who had just said that. She rubbed her bleary eyes and blinked her eyes in disbelief. "Davis Mile? Is that you?"

Raelynn Lyla could not believe her eyes, she thought that she was actually dreaming. She thought that Davis Mile could never appear in front of her again.

"I have been following you since last month but I was afraid that you might have forgotten me! So I decided not to bother you until I saw you today."

Davis Mile was her long, lost childhood friend. The two had grew up together while eating chocolate toffees and ice after school. They had been living together until in junior highschool when Davis Mile's family had to migrate to the Singapore for business purposes. That's when they had to part unwillingly. Davis Mile had just returned from Singapore and joined Derek Academy as his parents were again relocated to their country. He was there for good.

"How are you? It's been four years since I left, how have you been?" There was a wide smile on Davis Mile's lips until it shrouded off seeing Raelynn Lyla's gloomy face.

"What... what's wrong? Did...did I say something...that irritated you? Or...or...just tell me what happened?"

Raelynn Lyla could not find the courage to tell Davis Mile everything that had taken place during the few days. Her life was a mess, miserable and hopeless.

"Remember, if you are one of the suspects of bullying, you will be kicked out of our school. This is not a battle field but a learning institution."

Everyone hissed but shut their mouth.

"That is all for today and I hope that you students will stop disregarding other people just because of your family connections."

Eleanor Freya swallowed greedily upon hearing that sentence. She could feel the tension deep in her body and everyone's imaginary stares.

"Maybe we can talk about it later over the tea break. " Raelynn Lyla pronounced as she  adjusted her bag's straps and looked deep into Davis Mile's amber eyes.

"Sure thing! Should I wait for you in the cafeteria or fetch you in your classroom?"
