"I-"
Demon's hand gripped intensely so intensely that the poor woman's wrist almost broke.
"You're hurting me," she whined, squirting her eyes at the pain she was in.
He was still tightening, uncaring of the fact that the poor woman started to tremble for both, pain and fear of being killed by him.
Uncaring of the tears that formed in her eyes, threatening to explode at any time.
But he didn't even notice those things.
No one had to break his boundaries, to get in his line.
"Please-" she cried, "you're.. you're - you're hurting me." She screamed louder now as her poor arm was bruised.
And he left her.
His eyes were as red as the flames of fires in hell, moved by his anger eating up everything in their way.
"I am sorry." She immediately begged pardon as she retreated her hand and rubbed it to alleviate the pain.
"I didn't mean to.." she started but before she could even finish her apologizing, Demon interrupted with a thundered voice.
"Leave now."
She bit her tongue to forcefully shut herself and then she fleed away.
The door slammed close and the loud noise echoed through it. Demon remained alone in his room, in the quietness of that place, he couldn't find peace as he was hunted by his voice. Hunted by himself and his dark evil side that day after day was slowly acquiring him.
He wrapped his hands around his head and squirted as he clenched his teeth.
He let out a desperate angry shout as he screamed, "Get out of my head!!"
There he stood, in that chink between pure madness and normality. Begging for help to anyone but himself, because no one could help him. No one could understand what he was facing.
No one knew what he went through.
His hands collapse now into the sunglasses he wore and he took them away, throwing them at the floor.
He crouched down and he let out a deep breath, allowing himself to be vulnerable for the first time in a while.
"I wish I could stop this sufferance!" He grunted as his eyes shined in red for both sadness and fury.
"But I can't," he said letting out a sigh of resignation. "I can't."
He reluctantly drew his knees to his chest.
"Because I can't stop being myself and sufferance is part of me."
The door suddenly opened and his brother walked in.
"Demon?" He called puzzled when he saw him on the floor.
His eyebrows curled down confused, "what happened? Sharyn fleed crying saying she didn't want to see you again. She seemed scared to death."
He twiddled in his direction and walked closer to him.
"But what happened to you?" He asked when he noticed something was wrong.
"I'm fine, she broke the rules and I reminded her what she could get herself into in case she did that again."
"Alright, but are you fine? Did you hear voices again?" He asked Demon, worried about the look on his face.
"I am fine, don't worry."
As brothers who both grew up in a dysfunctional family, they had two different personalities.
Even if both the brothers were as cold as ice, Demon was the one whose life was completely ruined.
"Demon…" he whispered as he snuggled in his same position.
"You have to talk about this or…"
"I'm gonna take my pills and I will be fine, don't worry about me."
The demon stood up, annoyed he walked to the door, and left before his brother could insist furthermore.
He walked behind the encounter, served himself a full glass of whiskey, and rummaged in his pocket. He plucked two pills and put those in his mouth, he drank some whiskey to swallow down.
Thomas turned to check on Demon and when he saw him holding onto the wood of encounter he patted on his shoulder.
"Take this one, this helps to shout your mind." He said as he gave Demon a different kind of pill.
"I don't want drugs. I just sell I don't take."
Demon waved the now empty glass in front of Thomas and then slammed it on the encounter to fill it up again.
"This shit is my only addiction."
Thomas lifted his hands as if he gave it up and then continued to serve the drunkards of the city.
Demon watched him working until, when they were alone, Thomas asked him "What about the new woman? She is in?"
Demon lit up his cigarette and shrugged.
"She is in if she overcomes the test."
"What test?"
"I asked her to deliver goods we will see."
A smirk appeared on Demon's face, and his eyes thinned in the grin, visible now without any glasses on since there were all trusted people in the pub.
Thomas laughed lightly, he knew Demon since they were children and he knew him enough to know already what that devilish grin meant.
"I like her, do not make her fall too quickly." He commented.
"Mhh, we will see. It doesn't depend on me but on her."
