The car honked loudly and Dilan immediately backed away from the road in shock before the driver slammed on his brakes and let the car come to a halt with a screeching sound of tyres.
The man in the passenger seat looked over at him curiously.
"Watch the road before crossing kid !" He yelled with a gruff voice.
Dilan stared back, wide eyed and nodded his head as he stood up from the ground. He glanced back one last time to see the man rolling his eyes while shaking his head.He turned around to face front again and the driver started the car and driving off into the distance.
He let out a sigh of relief as he watched the car drive away.
"It's not like I don't know where the road is… of course I know how to cross," he muttered bitterly under his breath.
He ran his hands through his brown hair with an annoyed expression plastered across his face.
