Esmeralda stood by Luis's ward window . She peered at Luis as he spoke to Marco and Maria. He slept peacefully. A smile graced her lips. His skin looked radiant, his cheeks were flushed, there was a look of happiness and contentment on his face that she'd never seen before and she hoped it stayed for always..
' I don't want to ruin the mood ' Esmeralda thought as she turned away from the window.
" What are you doing?"
She jumped as she heard a voice behind her. Her gaze landed on Javier . Javier gave her a smile, "You scared me." Esmeralda replied and walked towards him , she hadn't expected him to show up. They both stood in silence while looking at the window. Esmeralda smiled softly.
"Nothing, Javier," She said "I was just thinking."
Javier nodded, "What about?" Javier asked, his gaze fixed on her.
