Luis remained silent, but nodded for her to continue.
" My father only had just met with Sergio , and he offered Sergio a contract to buy the property. Sergio was happy with the offer, and signed immediately. " Lola continued.
" How did you know that? " Luis asked.
" My father always made me sit with him during his business meetings, so I know all his business partners, colleagues and employees , " Lola explained.
Luis set his plate aside, stood up from the bed and approached his wardrobe . He rummaged through it for a couple of seconds until he pulled out his father's phone .
" I believe everything I need to know will be inside this phone but I haven't been able to unlock it yet, " he said.
" Who's phone is that ? " Lola asked .
" It belongs to my father, " he said as he turned back towards Lola with a small smile on his face.
He sat on the bed again and stared at the phone screen as he turned it on.
