"Okay, I'm ready. I'm going down now."
Sharon looked at Ivy worriedly from the passenger seat. She then followed Ivy out of the car and together they walked into Axel's house where the door was wide open.
"I'm here with you. Don't worry."
"You're just making me more nervous. Wait, your shirt collar is a bit crooked."
Ivy smoothed Jayde's shirt collar and pretended that she didn't notice Jayde's intense gaze on her. Her heart was rumbling even louder because Jayde couldn't take his eyes off all the things she was doing to tidy up his shirt collar.
"Done. Let's go inside now."
"Wait. Your hands are cold."
Jayde suddenly held Ivy's hand and made Ivy gasp in surprise. She didn't expect that Jayde would hold her icy cold palm from earlier.
"Don't be afraid, I stand by your side."
"Thank You."
Ivy wanted to pull her hand away from Jayde, but Jayde just kept on holding it and didn't even let go until they entered the house.
