"I apologize for coming late. My plane was delayed because of the weather."

I released my hand from his grip and put my hand in my mourning dress pocket.
"Have you eaten this morning?"
"Why should I eat when I'm grieving?"
"Because you have to eat to maintain your condition to stay fit."
"Where's Danise?" I asked Jayde curtly.
I remember that Danise was standing next to me. But suddenly he disappeared and I couldn't find him at all around the hall. Instead I found people's gazes secretly glancing at the two of us. They looked amazed and curious to see us together again and were standing in front of my father's coffin.
"Danise went to replace you greeting the mourners who came. I asked him."
"Why did you shoo Danise away? Are you happy to be able to make the two of us as spectacle?"
