Sharon turned off the stove and took a stack of dishes from the cupboard. She was a bit anxious to hear Abraham's next words.
"I'm not romantic and not warm. Wasn't that why you left me and had an affair with George?"
"We didn't have an affair. How many times do I have to explain to you?" asked Sharon angrily.
"There's no need to deny it. Everyone is talking about you and your premature marriage after our divorce."
"I married George because there was nothing else I could do. I don't want to mourn my sorrows over the years like you do."
"That's just your excuse to justify your affair with George. Admit it, Sharon."
