The next morning Ivy was awakened by sunlight creeping in through her wide open bedroom window. The sea breeze blew hard against the white curtains with green stripes that framed the window all day long. Ivy felt the glare and heat from the sun hitting her skin mercilessly. She was forced to open her eyes slowly while groaning in annoyance because she still wanted to sleep longer and didn't want to wake up.
"Huh, morning."
Ivy lowered her legs, yawned widely and let out a low sigh. She couldn't believe that she had to start the day with all the facts about Jayde's lies. She glanced at the laptop she kept on the nightstand. She needed to put the thing back where it belonged, so Jayde wouldn't suspect that his lie had been discovered.
