Jayde paid for the taxi fare with the only cash he had. Taxi drivers in Paris are kind of sickening. They take advantage of tourists they think are stupid to trick them. Jayde was about to be conned by the taxi driver, saying that their route would be very long and that the taxi driver was charging extra for gas and everything. But Jayde has already searched for the location of the club using google maps. It wasn't too far from his apartment. Only twelve minutes away. The taxi driver had clearly tricked him. It takes a surefire tactic to silence the big mouth of the taxi driver so that he doesn't keep asking for money from him.
