Synopsis
They call them The Eliardi We’ve always had those stories about The Eliardi who will come for us, or some evil being that will take over the entire universe. I guess I never thought I would be able to see it in real life...well maybe just once? We lived far away from here, so we didn' know a thing about that kind of thing. All my dad told me was that the Eliardi were an ancient people that used magic spells on their enemies, and they were evil. Now the Eliardi are gone for good. The world is still filled with magical creatures called the Alhedi, but now there's no reason they could ever be evil. It seems like all magic users have finally gotten back together after fighting against each other for centuries. It's a beautiful peaceful era and everything's going fine. My name is Alistair and i will tell you my tale. Once upon a time, there lived the people of Earth - A few humans and a few elves. They lived together in harmony under the same sun and sky, surrounded by forests and grassy lands. Theirs was a simple and happy existence. Until a dark creature came into their lands claiming to be their ruler. That' s where our story begins.

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1.1, The Lore

The Dark Lord of Darkshire, or Lord Sothos as his followers call him, was quite the evil force. His kingdom consisted of a city and several castles which made up a very powerful and mighty nation. It was a very well protected region. No enemy dared attack from afar, and every member of the kingdom knew how important it was to keep this safe. However, things started to change a few years ago, when a group of young people started appearing randomly along the borders. These individuals looked nothing like any others the royal soldiers or guards could spot, but were extremely strange. They had a look about them that seemed to give off an aura of fear. It was almost as if they were afraid to die. This led many of the soldiers to start suspecting these 'Elichiardi', a secret society within a secret society dedicated to saving the world. As such, the king began to make the effort to find out more about this mysterious organisation. Eventually he did manage to track down one of these Elichiardi members. The person he found was a man named Landon whom he called an Elichiardi mage. Landon explained that he was a very talented Elichiardi magician who was sent by his god to help save the world, but he also revealed that he was an agent of Sothos himself. Sothos had promised him an item if he managed to stop Landon's mission. In return for his aid, Landon agreed to lead an expedition through the forests which lead to the capital city in Eriador (which is located south of the kingdom). There Sothos would reveal to him all about the Elichiardi and what role they play in protecting the world and the future of humanity. So now here' s where things become a bit complicated.

As a general rule, the kingdoms ruled themselves, without an outside power trying to change the world. However, since the arrival of the Eliardi and the subsequent attacks on the land, kings and nobles alike have been asking for aid from the Elichiardi who claim to have come to save them. However, the kingdom was split up into two factions - the ones who wanted to go and the ones who wanted to stay and defend their country. One of the factions, which is mostly comprised of noblemen, decided to send an envoy to Eriador to negotiate, while the other faction refused. To make matters worse, the ambassador of the nobles claimed to have come from the Elichiardi which resulted in the two factions going into conflict and forming factions to fight each other instead of negotiating. The King himself couldn't decide on which faction he should support first, and as he grew older he started to wonder if this was the right decision. He asked his advisors, who tried to convince him of course, but the old king was stubbornly refusing to listen. Finally, the adviser suggested a compromise. If the king sided with the Elichiardi, then that meant he wouldn't stand behind his son, who would then stand alone against the nobles. He'd be putting an unnecessary burden on his younger brother, and it was better to choose his best option rather than lose both kingdoms. Unfortunately, that didn't sit well with the King as he felt it was unfair. He ended up choosing the wrong side of the divide. When he told his advisors what his final verdict was, they immediately declared the King unfit for rule. And in order for him to survive, Landon was ordered to leave the castle grounds in shame and exile. Even though he had betrayed his country and his father, he still felt that his family needed him, and thus left to pursue his dream of becoming a warrior and joining the ranks of the legendary warriors. As far as I know, he hasn't returned yet, although rumors say that he might join the Elichiardi someday... and thus ending the great war..
