Jeffrey Long is at a restaurant with two of his work friends, all three laughing as they share funny stories with each other.
Jeffrey Long: So there I was banging this chick, and then my boss walks into the room, catching both of us butt naked! And he was like. "What the hell is going on here?! And I said to him. "This is all a big misunderstanding sir!" (Jeffrey finishes with a laugh)... And that's why I lost my job. (Jeffrey tells them before taking a sip of his drink)
"Jeffrey I have to ask, why didn't you just take her to a hotel? I mean, why did you have to sleep with her in your boss's office?! (Jeffrey's friend, Matthew asked)
Jeffrey Long: Weren't you listening? She wanted me right then and there, plus we hated our boss and thought we could get away with it. (Jeffrey quickly explains, before sipping more of his drink)
"(Laughs) At least now you have a better job, and great friends like us too!" (Jeffrey's other friend, David said cheerfully)
Jeffrey Long: Cheers to that. (Jeffrey said before they all take a swig of their drinks)
The three continue laughing and having a good time, but their food is still yet to arrive. After a bit of complaining from Jeffrey, the three friends were finally served their long awaited food.
Jeffrey Long: Oh I just love seafood! I think I was a fisherman in my past life or something. (Jeffrey tells his friends upon seeing his seafood platter)
Matthew: Stop being ridiculous and just eat your food, Jeffrey. You always order the same thing anyways. (Matthew tells him)
Jeffrey Long: It's called a usual, Matthew. I don't have to ask for it, they already know what I want the moment I set foot here. (Jeffrey said before he begins to dig into the seafood platter)
There was no doubt that Jeffrey loved seafood, so much so that it was the only thing he ever orders from this restaurant. He loved the way they made their seafood platter, and could not get enough of It.
As Jeffrey is enjoying the food, he suddenly begins to feel lightheaded. It soon got harder and harder for him to breathe, and his body started to itch.
A few minutes later Jeffrey falls to the floor. He was having difficulty breathing, the swelling around his throat proving to be the cause.
Matthew: Oh God! I think he's having an allergic reaction! (Matthew yells)
David: To seafood?! But he always eats seafood! It's his thing. (David said in confusion)
Matthew: I heard that it's possible for someone to suddenly develop a shellfish allergy, and I think that is what is happening to Jeffrey right now. (Matthew explains to David)... Don't worry, Jeffrey! An ambulance is already on the way, you're gonna be fine! Just hold on. (Matthew tells Jeffrey, before he slowly loses consciousness)
"No, No, No, No... You are not gonna be fine, Jeffrey." (A soft yet sinister voice tells him)
Jeffrey slowly opens his eyes, and sees that he is now in the back of an ambulance. But there is only one paramedic with him, and he was looking at Jeffrey with a twisted grin on his face.
Jeffrey Long: What's going on? (Jeffrey asks in a daze, and although his words sounded out, his lips never once moved to speak)
"You had an allergic reaction to the food you ate, Jeffrey. And now you're about to die." (The strange yet handsome paramedic tells him)
Jeffrey Long: Die? I don't wanna die, please do something to help me, it's your job right? (Jeffrey tells the man)
"Oh Jeffrey, I wouldn't be here if you could be saved. The ambulance just didn't get there on time to save you" (The man explains happily)
Jeffrey Long: I don't understand... What are you talking about? (Jeffrey asks in confusion from the man's words)
"Okay let's do this... I'm going to ask you a couple of questions, and depending on your answers, I just might save you." (The man explains)
Jeffrey Long: What questions? (Jeffrey asks)
A twisted smile pulls across the man's face as he gets closer to Jeffrey, their faces now inches away from each other.
"Do you want to live, Jeffrey?" (The frightening man asks)
********
Now at the present day, Jeffrey Long is standing before a giant king crab, which was his Reckoning. The mighty beast roars again, terrifying Jefferson half to death.
Jeffrey Long: Run! (Jeffrey yells as he runs away in panic)
The giant crustacean raised up it's massive claw, ready to bring it down on Renee Johnson, who stood there frozen, too terrified to even move.
The creature brings down it's claw with tremendous force and speed, but before Renee can be crushed by the claw, Mark quickly grabs her and runs out of the way, saving her life.
Mark Ross: Never give in to fear. They crave it. (Mark tells Renee as he held her over his shoulder)... Start the evaluation, Eva! (Mark tells his sister after he places Renee down)
Eva had barely managed to dodge the attack from the Reckoning, it's large claw only inches away from crushing her.
Eva Ross: I wish you'd worry about me more, brother! But you're right, let's see how tough this thing really is! (Eva says as she pulls out two handguns, opening fire on the crab while moving back quickly)
The shell of the crab simply deflects all of Eva's bullets, none of them doing any damage to it at all.
Eva Ross: Bobby was right, this thing is tough as hell! (Eva notes smiling)
The creature raises up it's claw from the undamaged white floor, staring at Jeffrey Long in the distance, who was now trying to escape the white room.
Jeffrey Long: Come on let me out! I don't wanna be here anymore! (Jeffrey yells as he continues to slam his fists against the metal door, which was what got the attention of the crab in the first place)
The crab begins to move towards Jeffery, doing so at impressive speeds.
Eva Ross: It's going for Jeffrey! Kill it now, Dustin! (Eva yells out)
From his secret room Dustin Cook stares at the multiple monitors which are supposed to be showing footage of the Training Room, but now all their showing is static.
Dustin Cook: Got it! (Dustin says before he presses a button)
In the training room multiple gatling guns suddenly come out of the wall, all taking aim at the giant crab simultaneously.
Eva Ross: I love this part. (Eva says with a smile as the guns all open fire, peppering the giant body of the crab)
The crab's shell does not hold against the armour piercing rounds of the gatling guns, which makes the creature shriek in pain. Once the guns go quite the giant body of the crustacean falls to the ground, becoming motionless in a pool of it's own juices.
Seconds later the body just disappears, and the monitors in Dustin's room immediately start working again.
Dustin Cook: Okay the Reckoning is dead, so now I'm off to my date! Smell you later guys! (Dustin yells before he rushes out of the room)
Jeffrey Long: It's gone... It's really gone. (Jeffrey said as he fell to his knees, the joy he was feeling right now driving him to tears)
Eva Ross: Woah, hold your horses there, tiger! It's not over yet. (Eva tells him)
Mark Ross: Even if your Reckoning is dead now, it will always come back. You will only get seven days before that happens. (Mark explains)
Jeffrey Long: But why? Why does it have to be like that? I just want this all to be over. (Jeffrey said, his tears of joy turning to sobs of sadness)
Eva Ross: You may not believe us, but we want the same thing. Me and my brother have been living with our Reckonings for a long time, and we've learned how to live with them. Or, survive with them. (Eva explains)
Mark Ross: Stay here and you can learn too. Or at least, be protected from your Reckonings. (Mark adds)
Renee Johnson: I'm in... You've convinced me. I don't want to die at the hand of my Reckoning, I want to learn how to survive... At least until, I find some kind of cure. (Renee said determinately)
While Mark and Eva are staring at Renee in shock from her words. A devious smile pulls across Jeffrey's face.
Jeffrey Long: Fool. (Jeffrey mutters to himself)
