Professor Pei who just spoke up turned red in embarrassment when she heard Yu Huang chiding her like that, she pursed her lips in a frown and then picked up the papers which were lying on the table and then stacked the neatly before she glanced at professor Yu and then spoke lightly, " I was just trying to help, forgive me for being nosy." As she spoke her gaze fell on Qi Qing whose head was wrapped in a bandage and then added in a soft voice, " Bullying your classmate is not a simple matter, if this matter escalates then surely there will be consequences."
After she finished speaking, she stood up from the chair on which she was sitting and then headed towards the door of the staff room. However the second she placed her hand on the small hollow space which had a metal handle to pull the sliding door open, it was opened by someone else.
Pei Qingjiao was stunned when her gaze fell on the young girl who was standing on the other side of the door but then her brows furrowed as she looked down at Xua Ying Yue's clothes. The girl was dressed in all black like she was heading to someone's funeral and pursed her lips in distaste.
" What are you doing here?" Pei Qingjiao asked as she looked at the girl in front of her with a frown on her face. Just now this girl startled her so much that she almost felt her heart skip a beat when she saw her appear out of nowhere. " Should you not be in your class?"
Xua Ying Yue looked at the woman in front of her with a calm expression and then replied, " I was called here."
Only then did Pei Qingjiao's expression change as she looked at the girl in front of her and asked in a low voice, " Are you Xua Ying Yue?"
"That's right," Xua Ying Yue agreed with a nod.
" No wonder," Pei Qingjiao looked at Xua Ying Yue with a contempt-filled gaze which was barely hidden and then muttered under her breath, " Just one glance and you will know that she is trouble."
Xua Ying Yue arched a brow and then did not comment as she looked at the stylishly dressed woman. After all this woman was none other than the one who was having an affair with Doctor Lin's husband. Xua Ying Yue glanced at the branded clothes which the woman in front of her was wearing before turning her attention back to Professor Yu as she said, " I heard you called for me Professor Yu."
"That's——"
" Excuse me, Miss Xua," with a simpering voice, Pei Qingjiao turned to look at Xua Ying Yue who turned her head and looked at her with a light glance. Seeing that the girl was only looking at her and did not make any attempt to greet her, Pei Qingjiao snorted inwardly before saying, " You should learn how to greet your teachers now that you are in college."
As she spoke, she turned to look at the rest of the teachers. Pei Qingjiao seemed to be telling the rest of the teachers that Xua Ying Yue was a troublesome student given that she did not even know how to greet her teachers when she met them.
Yu Huang's expression changed as she looked at the young woman who was trying to make things difficult for her student and opened her mouth to say something but she was interrupted by Xua Ying Yue who bowed her head and then said, " I apologise. You look so young professor that I did not know that you were a teacher here," Xua Ying Yue bowed her head apologetically as she apologised in a good manner.
Even Pei Qingjiao's pride was a bit stroked as she heard Xua Ying Yue's apology, she truly liked hearing such things which was why she smilingly tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear and then waved her hand while speaking to Xua Ying Yue in a much warmer manner, " It's all right. This is a mistake that most of the students and parents make but I hope you will pay attention from now on."
" Sure," Xua Ying Yue agreed as she straightened up and looked at Pei Qingjiao who was heading in the opposite direction and looking rather satisfied, a glint flashed in Xua Ying Yue's eyes but she suppressed it and then turned to look at Yu Huang before she asked in a serious voice, " Is something the matter, professor Yu?"
As she spoke she glanced at Fan Jiayi and Qi Qing who glared at Xua Ying Yue.
" Something is indeed the matter, Miss Xua." Yu Huang looked at Qi Qing and Fan Jiayi before she explained the matter in a troubled voice to Xua Ying Yue, " Miss Qi and Miss Fan have complained that you caused them to get hurt by attacking them in the public restroom. Apparently, they insist that you and they had a row on the first day of college which was why you followed them and caused them to get hurt. Is there anything that you would like to add?"
Xua Ying Yue blinked her eyes as she scrunched up her brows lightly before shaking her head as she denied the ludicrous claims which were made by Qi Qing, " I am afraid that I have no idea what comrade Qi and comrade Fan are talking about. Last night I did go out but —— I was with a friend."
" You are lying!" Qi Qing stood up straight but because she was too agitated, she ended up getting a bit dizzy as the blood rushed to her head. " You were the one who,…"
" Miss Qi please behave yourself," Yu Huang said in a sharp voice when she saw Qi Qing getting out of control. When Qi Qing heard Yu Huang's scolding voice she pursed her lips but sat back down, however, she still continued to glare at Xua Ying Yue who looked completely unfazed by her glare.
Seeing that Qi Qing was no longer making a fuss, Yu Huang turned to look at Xua Ying Yue and asked, " Can you tell me the name of your friend, Miss Xua? This way we will be able to solve this matter much more quickly."
" Zou Zeming from the law department."
