Xua Ying Yue glanced at the old master, she did not understand why he thought of teasing her so suddenly but then she thought about Zou Zeming was his grandson and stopped questioning. Though the two of them were a generation apart, it looked like Zou Zeming took after his grandfather.
But she still took the initiative to clean up the air lest Old Master Gu thought that she was actually trying to go after his grandson which was why she opened her mouth and then said in a solemn voice, " There was something that I needed to ask comrade Zou, since he is not here I will not disturb you, Old Master Gu."
As she spoke, Xua Ying Yue bowed in front of Old Master Gu who looked at her and shook his head, this girl was really too stiff just like that son-in-law of his —— back then when he was pursuing his daughter, that brat was just as stiff as this girl, was this the reason why that grandson of his was going after this girl? If so, that will explain a lot of things.
" He has a presentation today which is why he left early if you want to see him —— go to the law department and look for class number two hundred and twenty five, you will find him there," Old Master Gu spoke as he sipped on his tea while peering at his withering begonias and sighed as he looked away.
This was the plant which was given to him by his late son in law and he cherished it a lot, even more so ever since his late son-in-law passed away after getting shot but it was as if the begonia sensed that its master was gone, day by day it was getting weaker.

Xua Ying Yue was walking down the slope when she heard the sound of Old Master Gu sigh, she turned to look at the old master and then curiously asked, " Is something troubling you, Old Master Gu?"

" Little girl it's like this, this begonia was something that belonged to my son in law but ever since he passed away the begonia had lost its will to live, its dying day by day and there is nothing that I can do," as he spoke he could not help but shake his head. " I tried everything but with its will of survival leaving, there is nothing that I can… I tried to send it to the gardener who works in the old manor at the cliff but he couldn't treat it either."
Xua Ying Yue looked at the dying begonia and then parted her lips before saying, "It's a touching thought, Old master but the begonia are not dying because they lost loved ones. They are dying because you are giving them twice as much love as they are used to —- you cannot overwater them too much and they don't need sunlight all day long. The pot is not enough to drain the water and the temperature is not suitable either."
She paused and then added, " If you want to revive these, then you need to take them out and take care of the damp soil which is filled with water. Move them away from the direct sun line and the suitable temperature for their growth is around 18 degrees Celsius—— try putting them inside for now. They will be fine. Don't leave them in the snow—— when the sun comes out you can keep them out but in summers keep them in a reflective area instead of direct sunlight."
Old Master Gu was stunned when he heard the blank voice of the girl in front of him, he was sure that she will shed a few tears like his daughter and everyone else but instead, she reprimanded him and told him that he was in fault because he was giving too much love to the begonia?
He blinked his eyes and subconsciously looked at the overwatered begonia plant and then asked, " Wha…What should I do now?"
" Take them out by the root and then clean the pot with bleach, I can't see whether they are having root rot but in case they are then you can scrape the soil off and if they are dark and mushy instead of white and healthy looking then cut off that parts—— in case you notice a powdery mildew and grey mold then you can go ahead and rub some fungicide but for now since you are alone, just add peat moss for the time being when your grandson comes over, tell him to deal with."
Xua Ying Yue looked at the pot which was heavier than the ones she used and then looked at the hands of Old Master Gu, they were old and wrinkled.
In case he ended up breaking his back, she will be the one to blame which was why she added the latter half and then turned to walk away but then suddenly something stretched forward and then caught her collar from behind causing her to stop and look at the cane which was hooked in her collar before raising her head and looking at Old Master Gu as she asked in a stoic voice, " Yes?"
" Little girl, the thing is that my grandson is a total maniac when it comes to dealing with flowers and weeds," as he spoke he dragged Xua Ying Yue back who allowed him to do so since she did not wish to harm Old Master Gu by pulling away harshly.
The old man saw that Xua Ying Yue was not running away, so he happily took his cane away and then pointed at the dead plants which were sitting in the corner of shame and then added, " Those were all killed by that brat …little girl, why don't you come and help this old man? I will give you a bill of fifty yuan every time you save a plant for me."
