The truth was that her mother worked the night shift while her dad went around selling chicken with yam pieces and did not return till midnight but Qi Qiao was not willing to share any benefits with the boy when he did not even buy meat for her.
Not willing to buy meat but want to eat? Not happening!
" Mine was worse," said Fan Jiayi as she sighed while clutching Qi Qiao's arm. " At least your date was willing to take you to a restaurant, mine took me to a small stall and shared three buns and not a bite more."
Three buns were priced around six cents, and though it was not expensive, it was not cheap either.
