Qi Qiao soon calmed down as she carefully thought everything through, because of Xua Ying Yue, Jia Lu Li had a fallout with her and ever since then, she was having a hard time. Her mother's salary was not enough, to begin with, she only earned a few yuan every month and that money was reserved for house hold expenses not even a single yuan was to be moved from here to there, if this was before Qi Qiao would not have found it annoying but after she befriended Jia Lu Li, she was used to getting meat every day and shopping on every weekend became a ritual for her.
Just like everyone said it was easy to rise from frugality to riches but it was impossible to go back to frugality once one was used to making certain expenses.
She was no different without Jia Lu Li, Qi Qiao's lifestyle plummeted, her lunch which comprised of meat was gone and replaced with dry vegetable buns as for shopping and buying clothes, hehe, which was even more impossible and that was all because of this b*tch!
Xua Ying Yue also noticed the unfriendly way Qi Qiao was looking at her but she did not say anything, as long as this woman did not come to find trouble with her, she was not going to find trouble with her either but of course, if they were to make a move, they will have to be prepared for the consequences.
Ignoring Qi Qiao who was glaring at her, Xua Ying Yue went to take a seat at the back of the classroom. She was not here to find trouble with anyone, she was only here to learn things which she could not understand on her own and nothing more.
Seeing that Xua Ying Yue had taken the very last chair in the classroom, Qi Qiao scoffed, she knew that there was no way someone who worked in a small restaurant would be smart enough, so she glanced at Xua Ying Yue and then turned to look at Fan Jiayi before she curled the side of her lips and then said in a loud voice, " Some people really have it tough, they have neither money nor wits. Yet they still act as if they are better than others, how funny!"
" True!" Fan Jiayi was also annoyed with the lack of meat in her diet these days and thus did not even need Qi Qiao's signal before she started berating Xua Ying Yue. " There is no shortage of foolish people."
As the two of them spoke, they continued to glance at Xua Ying Yue who was calmly reading her book.
Qi Qiao was expecting Xua Ying Yue to snap at her but instead, the girl acted as if she could not hear anything which annoyed her greatly.
What was with this higher-than-you attitude of hers? Can't she see that she was scolding her?
Even the classmates who did not know about the feud realised that there was something wrong between the three of them so how come that girl was not saying anything?
Qi Qiao could not ignore Xua Ying Yue even if the latter was ignoring her which was why she cleared her throat and then attracted the attention of Xua Ying Yue, who looked up when she heard someone call her name.
" Yes?" She asked with a raise of her brow.
When Qi Qiao noticed that Xua Ying Yue was looking at her with that haughty expression of hers, she was so annoyed that she wished to scratch her but in the end, she only smiled and said, "I was saying that those who do not have money and are not smart really has it hard, don't you think so?"
" They do have it hard, if not they would not be leeching off others," Xua Ying Yue threw the ball back into Qi Qiao's court before dropping her head and continuing to read the book which she was holding not even caring about the kind of expression which Qi Qing was making.
Qi Qiao had originally wanted to embarrass Xua Ying Yue but she ended up getting the short end of the stick, a part of her wished that she could tell Xua Ying Yue off nicely but then the bell rang and their head teacher walked inside the class which stopped Qi Qiao from saying anything further but she still glared at Xua Ying Yue who had now put away the book.
' Pretend continue to pretend!' Qi Qiao scolded Xua Ying Yue in her head before turning her head in front to look at the head teacher, she thought that Xua Ying Yue stopped reading the book because she wanted to impress the head teacher by acting like a good student.
But what she did not know was that Xua Ying Yue did not even care about pretending to be a good student since she was one from the beginning, the reason she placed the book down was that she saw an old acquaintance.
With her eyes locked on the man who was sending his wife off, Xua Ying Yue's lips rose in a sarcastic arc.
The staff room of the finance department was not far from the classroom in which she was sitting and because she was at the last, she could easily see a man sending off a woman who seemed to be a professor in the college.
If no one knew about the man, they would have thought that he was a loving man who was here to send his wife to work but Xua Ying Yue knew the man. If she was not wrong this was Doctor Li's husband.. the one who pretended to be rather loyal and loving to his family, a mocking smile etched on her lips as she snapped a picture just as Doctor Li's husband leaned down to kiss the woman before waving his hand and bidding goodbye to the woman.
Watching him leave, Xua Ying Yue could not help but click her tongue in annoyance.
