Vir froze at that, even stepping backward with a limp until he was leaning against the stone tomb of Ralph the Rubspina.
"Vir?" Aira tried to help him from slipping or falling. "What's wrong, who is the Amazing Phyro?"
"No..." Vir squeezed the hair on his head. "No, this can't be!"
He lifted his face and looked at the emperor sharply.
"Vir?" asked Aira, again.
"No way!" Vir shouted at the emperor and Magnius. "You must be lying. You're lying to me, you sneaky bastards!"
"Who is the Amazing Phyro?" Aira tried to help the man stand up better. "Tell me! Who is he?!"
"The Amazing Phyro," said Magnius the Mighty. "He is a hero who is revered by the people of the Northeast Lands. Especially, the Vulcher."
Aira widened her eyes. "What are you talking about? If you're talking about Phyro the Vulcher who sacrificed his life to protect the people of the Northeast, you're dead wrong!"
The emperor laughed and grew louder and louder.
