The emperor smiled. "Sorry to have lied to you, man Vulcher! Nothing personal here."
"Yeah!" responded Vir with a stoop and a slightly unsteady step. "It's in your nature, you bastard al-Banix!"
Magnius laughed in response to the man's curse. He took no offense at all.
"Keep cursing all you want, brat!" he said. "But soon, you'll be delivering us to our goal!"
Vir winced as his face turned red and began to be drenched in sweat.
"Wh-What do you want from me?"
"Your memories!" replied the old shaman.
Vir grinned. In the next second, he burst into laughter which made everyone confused by his behavior.
"Maybe I put too much," said the old shaman. "He's going crazy!"
"No," said Magnius. "He's just pretending to be strong and unaffected to trick us."
"Trick you, you say?" retorted Vir. "What about this?!" He straightened his back, wiping his mouth with his shoulder. "Fools!" he continued. "You don't know me at all!"
