Vir had taken the wrong path, but he had no choice. This gap three times the width of an adult's hand was the fastest way to reach the location where his former village was located.
And now, he had to keep running fast to avoid the creatures with huge fangs that were targeting him as food.
Crusalba or the White Legs, as the giant tarantula-like creatures are called. They are about the size of an adult dog.
It would be easier to deal with the attacks of these creatures if you had a torch or something that produced fire. But no, Vir didn't have anything like that with him right now.
So, all he could do was run and keep running as fast as he could. Jumping over cracks in the ground, or sometimes having to climb over large rocks that got in his way.
"Damn creatures!" muttered Vir in between his panting breaths. "I'm not going to be your food, you bastards!"
There were at least a dozen of these creatures chasing Vir.
