After a long walk and Vir running out of food and drinking water, he arrived at the west coast, and only had a bag of redbrew left to quench his thirst, and even that was only half gone.
The evening sky on the western horizon was still quite bright while the eastern horizon had begun to darken. A few more hours of the same darkness would cover the entire region.
Vir rested for a moment on a large rock on the shore. Then his gaze fell on the elongated tracks, like those of a wagon wheel, and there seemed to be more than one wagon.
Among the tracks in the sand were also the footprints of a fairly large creature. At the very least, Vir could estimate that the creature was about five meters in size, from its front feet to its hind feet.
In other words, the creature with footprints similar to crocodile footprints was more than five meters long.
"Megalacerti, is it?" Vir muttered.
