"Please, come in!" said La-Rhuan after she opened the door. "I feel blessed by the heavens with you two. Come, make yourself at home even though my house is not big."
The house consisted of only four rooms. One larger room was the vestibule and living room on the right side, two doorless bedrooms on the left side, and a kitchen connected to a doorless bathroom at the back.
Vir nodded to Aira and entered the house first. He parked his cart in front of the house, on the right side.
"You live alone?"
La-Rhuan smiled as she put her handbasket on the table in the kitchen. Then she returned to the front room.
"No man wants to be my husband," La-Rhuan replied. "I am sorry if you are uncomfortable with the condition of my house."
"No, your house is quite nice," Vir said. "You said no man would want you? I thought you were joking."
La-Rhuan just shrugged her shoulders, walked over to Aira, and squatted down in front of her.
