Chereads / The Naughty Prosecutor, Bella / Chapter 3 - A Thoughtful Man

Chapter 3 - A Thoughtful Man

Justin sat in his room. He didn't look at anything. He just silent and thinking, after Justin heard the information about Bella from Eric.

Bella failed in the first case after arriving in CatWell City. A positive lesson to be learned, Bella can learn the situation in meand war. What can you work with and not. On the downside, the worst reality for a prosecutor, she will work hard alone. Perhaps her performance will not be viewed at all, although Bella has found evidence and strong witnesses to throw the target into prison.

"Should I help her? Ah, no," Justin muttered.

"Why not, sir? You know for sure, there will be no one who will help Miss Bella in that place. She looks like a rat trapped in a tiger's cage. Don't you feel sorry for her? How if she dies before she can successfully get foods?"

Justin glanced at Eric. "Why are you so fussy?" Justin moved from the chair to the couch to lay down.

"Don't you feel worried about her?" Eric asked again.

"Absolutely not. Isn't this situation good for her? She can learn a lot from her first case. Bella will know, what the nature of the chief prosecutor is? It would be great if Bella opposed that annoying human. Especially to the point of having the urge to kick that stupid old man out of from his current position. Definitely exciting.” Justin is excited.

For Justin, Ludwig is an easy person to work with. Ludwig was just obedient to anyone who would give him a lot of money. Ludwig did not side with anyone. Money is the master.

Ludwig could do anything with the power he had. This includes removing evidence or creating false evidence. If Bella handed over the evidence – that evidence to Ludwig, then it would be done. Bella's hard work would be futile.

For a moment, maybe Justin would keep an eye on Bella. After what he did yesterday, Jofran obviously wouldn't stand still. For the City of CatWell, the death of the new prosecutor is nothing out of the ordinary. The news will probably spread and people will blame Bella for her stupidity.

Right Eric said. Justin had thrown a rat into a tiger cage. Justin has no regrets about that. He judged that Bella was capable enough to find a way to survive and maybe even succumb to a tiger – a tiger who was about to pounce on her.

"What made you freeze in that place?" Kheil, Justin's best friend, suddenly appeared and asked.

"Good afternoon Mr. Kheil," Eric greeted.

"Shark, er," said Kheil.

Justin sat down, then poured water into the glass. At the same time, Eric left the room.

"Nothing. I'm just tired of my daily activities," Justin replied.

Kheil laughed. He walked behind the sofa Justin was sitting on, then brewed the instant coffee available on the sideboard. "As the heir to Eagle Wings, you have a lot of free time apparently. Don't you worry that your father will donate all his property to the social foundation of CatWell City in his will?"

Justin was as happy as he was with a drink in his glass when he asked, "I don't care where he's going to take all the dirty money. I already have enough money to support myself for the next hundred years. Maybe more. "

"Look! His arrogance declined to you.” Kheil brought his coffee and sat down in front of Justin. “Your father came to the social foundation again."

"When?"

"I saw his car enter the gate of that social foundation just now. This time, he brought a reporter. Is he planning to run for mayor? Kheil guessed.

"Dad was never interested in occupying it. He's still going to stand behind that guy as a controller."

"Yes, you are right. Who else would she make a doll now? The mayor's term ends next year. Your father must have prepared a mature plan to control the entire city."

An Kheil's conjecture may be correct. Steven has a strong ambition to control CatWell City. If the wish is realized, then it will be even more difficult for him to stop Steven.

"Oh, yes. Have you heard from the leadership of Oximell Company? Jofran was caught yesterday evening, but was free this morning. This city law is so funny, isn't it?" Kheil chuckled.

"Yes, Eric has already told me. That's not a great news here. You already know it."

"Yes, I am. But the actually great news is the prosecutor who arrested him yesterday was a woman. She is a new prosecutor in this town. She was beautiful. I've gotten curious as to what it looks like."

"She's nothing more than a stupid girl," Justin insulted.

"Hey, you are always like that every time I discuss beautiful women. Isn't she brave enough? Other prosecutors only take care of small cases. But she, just coming in has targeted big businessmen who evade taxes."

"Perhaps, she thought that her actions would impress the chief prosecutor. She didn't know that it would endanger his own life. Jofran will not stand still after his pride is stepped on."

"What a poor woman. The news of her death will definitely be spread in a while." Kheil cried fakely.

Justin moved off the couch. Quickly he picked up the suit jacket on the wooden hanger.

"Where are you going?" asked Kheil.

"It is not your business."

Justin left Kheil without explaining anything. He drove his sports car towards the prosecutor's office. Silent, observing the building from a distance.

"What am I doing here?" regrets Justin after coming to his senses for his actions.

He himself didn't know why his mind was disturbed by his imagination. He imagined of a group of thugs who would kidnap Bella, drag her to an empty building, and then torture her to death. The worst imagination that came to mind, they wiped out Bella, mentally damaged her with violence and immorality.

Justin, who previously believed Bella could overcome the criminals, even if it was a yakuza, now has doubts. Bella, she survived thanks to the help of the police and her colleagues. In the city, the police would turn a blind eye when they knew that the culprits were Black Panther's men—The trained hitmen gang.

Justin hugged the steering wheel. He rested his chin on his hand, while his eyes could not be separated from staring at the main door of the prosecutor's office building. Before long, Bella walked out.

The look on Bella's face broadcast a deep disappointment. Bella walked over with her head down. He passed the parking lot. There was nothing suspicious until Bella walked out of the gate and took care of the streets.

"Where is she going? Does she not have a vehicle yet? She lives in the De Palace apartment, right? Isn't it far enough away from her office?"

Justin started the car's engine. He followed Bella slowly. Keep a distance that feels safe enough.

Bella looked like she was calling someone. Stopped for a while in front of the department store. Justin spontaneously lowered his head when Bella suddenly looked back.

"Damn!" Justin's cursed.

Three minutes is enough to hide yourself. Justin looked up. He was flabbergasted when he saw Bella no longer in place.

"Where is she?" Justin asked as he combed the surrounding area. "Did she enter the department store?" He asked again while expanding the range of view.

Three sudden knocks heard from the windshield of his car made Justin jump until his head hit the roof of the car. Justin groaned.

"Brazen! Who is ...." Justin turned his head and was shocked at the same ya ng moment. Bella, Justin said.
