Chapter 1 - Prologue: Grey

BLACK ROSE- THE TWELVE DISCIPLES

Prologue-

"..." It's midnight, July 6th, year unknown.

A young boy, the only one of twelve remaining walks through a graveyard with a bouquet of roses in hand.

He stops at a tombstone and stars down at it, reading each and every word engraved into its black rock.

'ELZIA MYARS, 14. A GIRL NEVER FORGOTTEN.' Was written in bold.

He stoops down and rests the roses just below the stone, then stands back up. He wasn't sad, nor was he happy. He left those human emotions behind long ago. All he felt was a sense of longing.

"It's been so long…Elzia…" He spoke out into the darkness, "...I've tried everything, but nothing worked."

The boy sarcastically chuckled, "I struggled through so much just to bring you back…but it was all for nothing." Then, he wiped a tear from his eyes, chuckling even more, "Elzia…" He stooped down for a second time and gently touched the dirt his little sister was buried beneath, "...I swear…this time…things will be different…my dear sister…"

He rested his palm on her grave.

"...I swear…" He continued, "...this time…I won't let anyone hurt you..." His fingers swiftly dug into her grave. Bits and pieces of dirt got into his fingernails, he felt the softness form into a small ball within the palm of his hand, "Nnrng…"

But it wasn't long before he shot to his feet once more.

"This is the last we'll ever see of this place." He solemnly announced to his late sister, "Farewell, Elzia. I'll see you in the next life." Then…he raised his hand.

Immediately, a neon-blue electric ball formed within his palm and was shot into the sky. The clouds instantly dissipated, and the sky lit up blue.

"Goodbye, World One." He uttered. Afterwards, the ball changed into lightning which violently rained upon the Earth, breaking the ground to pieces with each strike while he just stood there, staring at Elzia's grave, "Killing everyone to become God was a mistake. I'll restart in another life, I'll live as the other 'Edith Myars.' from now on."

Following, he turned his back to his sister's grave and a bolt of lightning promptly shot down, destroying everything behind him.

He watched as the world was slowly broken apart bit by bit because of his doing. The buildings, the people living there, even the landscape were destroyed. Eventually, nothing remained of the realm he was supposed to rule over.

"..." But he didn't think anything of it. All he did was open up a portal…and left.

There was only one thing he wanted, and it was to see his sister Elzia again…and he was going to do that no matter what the cost was.
