It has about a week since the bandits have been coming to visit me. They have made what I thought would be a boring start to an interesting adventure.
Not only do I have Korosu and his crew to talk to but just as I suspected through them I have a source of entertainment through their strategy meetings. Lately the have been making plans to break in a Nobel's mansion which has stumped them. This is because the entire perimeter is guarded by knights and archers which they can't seem to find a way around.
I felt bad for them so I decided to give them a invisibility cloak. By give I mean make using my domain skill. I have studied a little bit on the ability and it's limitations too.
I have already learned I can't make or do anything outside my domain. However I have learned I can make something inside it and move it outside. Whether it be a box or a spell like a fireball.
I have also learned that not only can I make anything but also I can give myself any ability I want until I leave my domain at least. I have yet to actually give a skill to someone else though.
Turns out that giving a rare item like the invisibility cloak to people was a bad idea as everyone's jaw dropped when they saw it. Korosu saw it and said
"Why do you a bartender have such an expensive item"which he said with I have you look on his face. I decided to hide the fact that I have the Gods Domain skill as it is very broken. To hide this fact I said with a nervous laughter "Oh I used to be a famous adventurer but retired due to getting cursed that made me weaker." I could tell he didn't believe me but ether way he had no way to disprove me, at least not now anyways.
He said with it he should be able to make the plan work which made me happy as I was helpful to them. They've also been helpful in teaching me about this new world.
I have learned that I am in the city of Han'ei which I didn't know as I haven't really left the bar yet except for experimenting on my domain. I also was able to guess that due to the area I was in the commoner's district. Maybe if I get a lot of money I should set up a tavern in the upper class section.
However that won't happen as long as my only customers are "The Bone Knifes" which only come at night. That mess that for the entire day I just sit and wait around for them to show up. It's no all bad as I've made about a gold coin's worth from serving them. I could just make money using my skill but I want to make the money myself at least until something goes wrong.
The night before they put the plan in action to rob the mansion they had a party. Apparently in order for them to ready themselves for it they decided to have an arm wrestling tournament.
It looked fun so I asked if I could join and they said yes. For some reason everyone wanted to see how strong I am which filled me with a little pride. To help me in this little game I decided to tweak my strength stat a bit.
============================
Strength: 400
============================
Perfectly balanced I think, this should be able to make me get in a high place in the tournament.
…
Everyone was dominated with with my strength. It was totally unfair and over the top one guy I even flung accidentally to the other side of the bar. Even when I was in the top three the last two I easily dealt with. They were Korosu and a bandit that had too many muscles for a human to have.
They both weren't flung or destroyed by my strength but they were no match do me unfortunately. Still they all congratulated me and one said "was it hard?" In the excitement and me forgetting I was basically cheating I said "It was nothing!"
I wasn't looking but with my amazing cat ears I heard Korosu say under his breath "Tsk, Showoff." That made me pale inside, am I really a Showoff? Before I got the guts to talk to him and say I was sorry for hurting his pride they began to pack up and leave. So instead of apologizing I said with a smile "Wish you luck and don't die on me." In return he said "Thanks and make us a grand meal for after the mission." With that they left.
Man I wish I had unlimited range for my domain so I could help them, oh well. With that I went back inside getting prepared for a humongous feast.
—The next night—
(Korosu POV)
"Alright men let's do this!"
