Niorun Palace, kitchen.
"So... Uhm... Rei, did you cook for your fiancé quite often?" The King asked, out of the blue.
"Well... Not really. He said that my cooking is a bit too petty and not very suitable for most of the occasions in the imperial family. So... I seldom cooked for anyone in Qin Palace," said Rei.
"I see. Too bad for him, I guess. He definitely misses out on the good stuff." said the King.
Rei lightly nodded without saying anything as she transferred the bean curds from the cutting board to a clean bowl. She kind of refused to talk more about her past life in Qin Empire to the King, and the King noticed that as well, thus, he stopped that topic and continue helping Rei with ingredient preparation.
After all the ingredients were nicely cleaned, washed, sliced and chopped, Rei took out a cast iron skillet and placed it on the stove.
