A pleasant feeling soothed Hun Lian's entire being as the three souls of those cultivators rushed inside of him.
He devoured these souls with the help of 'Thuum' and tried to level up his 'Nar hat rim' which could make some beasts follow his command.
Currently, it was in the first level and only beasts weaker than him could be subdued, but after levelling up, which he felt was very near, he could subdue and command beasts as powerful as him.
Mo Xieren was shivering. She was ready to commit suicide just now, and the reality of it hit her hard when Hun Lian came out of nowhere, and like a tyrant, killed all three of her enemies with his Cultivation pressure alone.
It reminded her how weak she truly is and how easy it is for anyone to take advantage of her or kill her.
"Thank -Thank you, Kind Sir."
Even though Hun Lian was clearly way younger than her, she still bowed and thanked him like an elder while her legs were still shivering.
"It's okay. I was just going to the nearby village to rent a travelling beast. I believe you are from there only?"
Mo Xieren nodded and stayed silent. She recognised Hun Lian from his robes to be the disciple of the Perpetuity Sect, and she had not heard anything good about them.
Hun Lian looked at her and shook his head as he disappeared from in front of her.
Mo Xieren was still thinking about what payment Hun Lian would ask to save her, but his sudden departure made her bewildered.
She was going to the Sect to meet her long lost friend for help, but now seeing Hun Lian, and then at her overturned carriage which was now out of commission, she dashed towards the village.
.
.
Hun Lian arrived at the Village known as the Glimmertown.
It was one of the only villages accepting gold as a payment for Cultivation stuff for a thousand kilometres and it was buzzing with activity.
There were no walls or guards in the place as it was under the direct jurisdiction of the Perpetuity Sect and was the nearest village to it.
It was a proper bazaar as there were hawkers, stores and pagodas selling different kinds of things for gold and Qi Crystals.
At the centre of the village, stood the only Pagoda with guards of the Golden Core Realms and 'Maisen Auction House' was written in bold letters on it.
Hun Lian ignored it for now as he wasn't here for this. He only had fifteen days for completing the mission and he needed to use them wisely.
As he roamed around the market, he found a beast renting shop which is where you could rent or buy a simple flying-type or land-type beast for the purpose of travelling.
"Brother, I want to buy a flying beast. Can you show me which ones do you have?"
The shop owner who was feeding his beasts turned around to see Hun Lian and said politely.
"Sorry Brother. But the Flying beasts are rare. I only have one now and that is for renting only.
If you want, I can sell you this Horse for 10,000 gold. It is a 2nd Tier beast and can run very fast."
Hun Lian nodded to the shop owner and inspected the Horse which was triple the size of a normal horse, and had three horns growing out of his head.
"What if it gets lost?"
"Don't worry brother. This is a trained beast. It will always know your scent and could track you for up to 20 kilometres without any problem."
Hun Lian was satisfied with the horse.
Now that he had Midas Touch, he could turn normal silver and copper into gold which made it so that he had a virtually infinite amount of money.
In future, the power of his Midas Touch also had the potential to turn living things into Gold which was very terryfyiung.
"Okay brother, I'll take it. Also add a saddle, bridles, reign, horse armour and horse food and name your price."
The shop owner got excited listening to Hun Lian and he rushed to prepare the things Hun Lian requested, and within minutes he added everything on the horse while handing Hun Lian the horse food.
"Brother, The cost of everything included is around 16,500 gold."
Hun Lian didn't have time to bargain with him, and nor did he care enough as he had an unlimited amount of gold.
He simply went inside the counter and placed stacks and stacks of coins before turning around and leaving.
He then searched for a Map shop in the market, and soon found it.
Maps are required by everyone who wants to explore the wilderness, and detailed maps are especially popular as they help cultivators find items, beast habitats, etc.
"Welcome to Mitsy's Map Shop. How may I help you?"
A small little girl spoke with enthusiasm from the counter as she looked up to see Hun Lian.
This gained her a chuckle from him and he playfully rubbed her head.
"Hello, little one. Are you Mitsy? Is this your shop?"
The little girl nodded her head with a smile and answered Hun Lian
"It is my name, Big Brother, but It is my Elder Sister's shop. She is not in town right now as she has gone to the Perpetuity Sect to ask for help from an old friend of hers."
"Really? Can you tell me what the name of your sister is? As it happens that I am also from the Perpetuity sect, So I might know your sister."
Hun Lian's words lit the little girl's eyes and she replied
"My Sister's name is Mo Xieren, brother. She owns this shop and is also a presenter in the Maisen Auction House."
The image of Mo Xieren flashed in Hun Lian's mind as he had encountered her just an hour ago.
'Is she also connected to Han Yan? This can't be a coincidence.'
Hun Lian then asked her about every map that she had, and it took little Mitsy a long time to gather a copy of every map that she had in her store. Since she was the only employee right now, a queue was starting to form behind Hun Lian.
"Here brother, these are all the maps I have. Please see which one you need while I attend to other customers."
Little Mitsy was about to walk off when suddenly he interrupted
"I want them all, Mitsy. Just tell me what they are worth?"
The other customers who were waiting in line almost cursed at this point.
Maps are very expensive and detailed maps are even more so.
If this shop was not protected by a Presenter from the Maisen Auction House, then they would've looted this store, It was that precious, and suddenly a disciple from the Pereptuity Sect arrived and wants to buy each and every map?
There were a couple of people who had seen Hun Lian lavishly buy a Fast horse without bargaining and had followed him to the store so they could see just how fat this sheep was. There were other disciples who were also in line and they couldn't help but take a look at Hun Lian's face a few times.
"Uh Brother..Since each map is detailed, It is priced at 200 Gold coins each.
You are buying 43 maps from me so that would be around 8600 gold coins."
Hun Lian simply summoned the exact amount of coins from his [Inventory] and placed it on the counter for a shocked Mitsy to try and gather as much as she could and hurriedly deposit it in the safe box under the counter.
'I should get myself a Black Card as well. This is bothersome'
Hun Lian then store all the maps in his storage ring and turned around.
As soon as he started to walk towards the shop's exit, An out-of-breadth Mo Xieren rushed inside the shop.
"Sir! Can you please help me?"
Mo Xieren had rushed to the Glimmerton so fast just to meet Hun Lian even though there was no shortage of people from the Perpetuity Sect in this village.
Be it his over-exaggerated luck or something Mo Xieren caught in him, but he didn't have time for any of it right now.
"You will have to wait for a few days if You want to ask me anything. I am in a hurry."
Leaving these words, Hun Lian walked out of the Map shop and walked towards his steed when suddenly Mo Xieren also ran out of the store and followed him.
"Please Sir, Please help me."
Hun Lian stopped and curiously turned around.
"Why? What's so special in me that no one else from the sect can help you except me?"
Mo Xieren, upon seeing that Hun Lian was finally willing to listen to her immediately went up to him and said
"Because I believe that you are genuinely a good person. In the forest…If there was anyone else, then they would've asked me for some reward for saving me, and that reward would most likely be my body only.
But you…Sir, you not only had no malice in your eyes and on top of that you also didn't ask me anything. You are a righteous person and I think you will do right by me."
Upon listening to Mo Xieren's evaluation of him, Hun Lian had to control his laughter.
Now he was sure that the Son of Luck have an unreasonable advantage over everyone else and he was one of them.
He wondered if he killed the other Son of Luck, then will their luck find its place with him or distribute among other sons of lucks?
Hun Lian wanted to experiment with taking away the opportunity of Han Yan, and as he looked at the beautiful 30-year-old Mo Xeiren who was practically pleading to him, he said
"Okay, tell me what help do you require?"
"Sir. I…- Sir I want you to help me get a Seven Colored Begonia flower.."
Mo Xieren very slowly said her request and this surprised Hun Lian greatly.
The Seven coloured begonia flower can help a cultivator increase their cultivation talent.
It is important to note that increasing one's talent for cultivation was extremely rare, and even people from the Royal family would find it very difficult to do it to their Prince or Princess.
Now Hun Lian understood everything.
Mo Xieren apparently had the location of this wonder flower, and she knew that if she goes to anyone with this information, even to her friend, then the ghosts in their hearts would make them not return the flower to Mo Xieren, instead they would use it on themselves.
After all, who doesn't want to cultivate endlessly without any bottlenecks?
This opportunity must be initially meant for Han Yan, as Hun Lian didn't remember anything of this sort in the original timeline, and when Mo Xieren arrived here, his performance of saving a Damsel in distress caused him to have a positive image in Mo Xieren's eyes and then she was determined to ask his help.
"Aren't you afraid that I will not give it to you once I acquire it?"
Mo Xieren shook her head in disagreement at Hun Lian's question.
"The very fact that you are asking me this question instead of agreeing to help me immediately is proof enough of your character, Sir."
Hun Lian smiled and gestured for her to continue.
"Sir, Let's first go to my house. I don't think it is appropriate to talk about this in the streets."
Hun Lian nodded and followed her as they entered through the back of the Mitsy's Map Shop and went to an underground room, leaving a few stalkers to wonder why the woman of their dreams was taking a strange to her house?
"By the way, My Name is Hun Lian."
Mo Xieren nodded in understanding as she finally wiped the soot from her face that she had gathered while running to the town and searching for Hun Lain.
"My name is Mo Xieren, Sir Hun. I own this shop and I help auction articles in the Maisen Auction House."
They both then sat on a sofa, as Mo Xieren took out an old letter from a drawer and handed it to Hun Lian.
"Sir Hun, This letter was given to me by my parents before they died. In it, they told me the location of the Seven coloured begonia in detail.
For years I have been trying to locate it with the help from the Maisen Auction House, and in the process, I opened up this Map Shop.
Last month while I had sent another batch of mercenaries out to gather some raw material for auctioning; I had secretly used some clues to triangulate the approximate location of that flower.
I would've gotten it myself, but I am not strong enough to explore there.
Sir Hun. That Flower is really important to me. I promise you, that in exchange for it, I would give you something of equal value!"
Hun Lian was speechless right now.
He had read the paper but the most shocking part of it was that it was signed by both of her grandparents.
One sign read Mo Jin, who was her grandfather, but the other sign was from someone named Yin Yijun.
Others might not know this but the Yin family is also one of the founding families of the Rizedonia empire, like the Liu family, and Ancestor Yin Yijun was once famous for being an unmatched existence in Alchemy.
'This dog luck is really something.'
After observing the sign, Hun Lian looked at Mo Xieren with a tender smile and said
"All right. I'll pick this flower for you on my way."
Mo Xieren was ecstatic at listening to this. Granted she had some reservations about Hun Lian who she just met, But comparing him to other cultivators, he was the one with the most empathy, according to her of course.
Hun Lian got to know that Mo Xieren was separated from her family when she was just 5, and this letter was the only thing that she had left of her grandparents.
Even Mitsy was not biologically related to her as she found her at an orphanage and since she needed a helper, she took her.
Hun Lian then said his goodbyes and left the Glimmertown on his horse while some shadows also followed him into the forest.
.
.
.
Han Yan was finally able to get out of the Sect.
He firmly believed that he could not grow by staying in the sect, and that he should go outside and face dangers so that he could grow powerful. After all, dangers are always residing with opportunities.
Han Yan heard about a village named Glimmertown from Cui Zan, and he wanted to check it out for restocking his supplies.
When Han Yan was leaving for the Glimmertown, a sudden pain in his chest stumbled him, and he fell on the ground while clutching his chest.
It felt like someone had tore something which was his away from him, and under immense pain, he wailed, attracting the attention of a wolf.
