Lucy parked the car in one corner, and came out. Athena's blue sports car stopped right next to her. She was dressed in a buisness suit which indicated that she had came directly from the office itself.
"How come he arrived so suddenly?", asked Athena, as she got out of her car .
"I can't understand that either. From my sources, he is no longer the ruler of Chinese Underworld. Why would he take the risk of coming to America at such a time? ", asked Lucy, herself confused.
" Well, that's one good thing you've said . A person from Li's Underworld who has currently not taken the essence of insanity would not come to America, not until.. he's got some help from anyone else", said Athena.
" I am not sure about that", said Lucy.
" Let's count then, the Japanese Underworld is under Akui Tsumi, and he's got nothing to do with the American Underworld .Then, we've the Chinese Underworld which is currently under Jiang Ling , and his whole family, and they currently are not in the position to fight us. Then we've the Italian Underworld, but we've got Melania Adriana as one of our best friends and her brother is also very trustworthy, I don't think that it's them either", ranted off Athena, aa they walked inside.
Lucy put on a mask which changed her entire face shape and structure. Then, she turned towards Athena.
" I think I know who this can be ", she said , in a whispering voice, " I am one hundred and ten per cent sure that this help has come from the so called Russian Underworld."
" James Russo? ", said Athena," But he seemed alright, didn't he? ".
" I don't know but he's definitely not a good case . And the Russian Underworld have never been good friends with the American Underworld. In fact , I should say that we've worse relations with them then with the Chinese ones", said Lucy, worriedly.
" But we still can't be sure until we have enough proof, and besides they are not the only ones ", said Athena.
They were inside the place. The main headquarters. It was a surprisingly clean place compared to the work it used for. All parts of the room had hidden cameras and other place where important files were stored. The whole office has an auto firing system, automatic locks, a shut down ( which closed down the entire place ) , all kind of security systems, a base, high tech devices for tracking and other purposes, smart boards, electric photochromic glass which controlled the amount of lights, curtain controls , temperature 🌡️ controls , domed ceiling that depicts thousands of twinkling stars – and even an occasional meteor streaking across the sky. There are also eight reclining chairs, and a glass table which actually hides a secret room in case of emergencies .The place also has an automation system that controls heating, lights, TVs, etc.They could easily expand one of the place's two rooms with movable walls.
Reva was waiting on the recliner chair 💺 along with some other people .She got up as she saw Lucy and Athena. They both took their places.
Reva took out a file and gave it to Athena. On the other side, a lady with purple-blue hair sitting right next to her showed her the laptop 💻. There were many footages. All of them had a single man who was wearing a gold mask and surely did not look any good.
Then the lady took out the face detector which already had James Russo's face on it. When she pressed the button the faces matched perfectly and the outline of both the figures collided.
"Hmmm... what about Li Shen?", asked Lucy, turning to Reva.
" We don't have enough proof 🧾 but the place which was inhabited by Shen when he lived in America was entered in yesterday night after about fifteen years. And the people around the place are claiming that the person entered through the main door 🚪 which is kinda weird as if it would be a burglar, why would they enter through the front door ? And the person did not even come out, we checked the footages and he kinda disappeared from inside the house. The the same man was spotted again near the airport... ", she said.
" Wait, right there...near the airport! Something's seriously wrong here.... I mean, look if he came here to do something in a secretive way... what is he doing near the airport... it's obvious he is trying to make us find him", said Athena.
" But why would he do something like that? He does know that Anderson family is ruling the mafias and are very strong. I mean we've defeated them in the past , haven't we? ", she said.
" Well unless and until he thinks or maybe has a good backup from some other mafia, I don't think he would attempt something like that ", said Ransome.
" I agree with that ", said Reva.
"Well Russo and Shen are bad news for us. We'll have to be cautious and keep a check on everything ",said Lucy.
"One more thing which I didn't tell you.... I got these evidences really easily if you know what I mean... these were like lying around ", said Reva," It is suspicious... I didn't notice at that moment but now I realise as you've said it".
" I think that this means two things... as I said he probably wants us to look for him and the second I think there's someone in our own country who's helping him... I mean he already knows that we'll be looking for him and he went to the places where we've hidden cameras ", said Athena.
" Point noted", said Lucy," And I think I know who is behind all this".
"Don't tell me.. that you're suspecting the mafia king", said Athena.
"Come on, who can it be other than him, he destroyed my whole family... who knows what extent to he can go... and if he manages to get me out of the way he'll automatically become the sole ruler of the American underworld won't he be? And if you look from my point of view he will be the most benefitted from Shen and Russo... I mean he'll secure friendship with the Russian underworld and that would be a strong ally",.
" Ok , but you're saying that as you've some past conflicts with him, there's no such evidence ", said Reva, but recoiling under Lucy's stare, she added," Queen, I mean not till now".
"I am with Lucy", said Athena.
"It's not about who's helping or who's involved, it's about stopping them", said Ransome.
"Right, so you all keep tracking his advances, secretly. It should seem to him that we're not at all effected, Reva you will go to Russia tomorrow with some force. Check whether Russo is there or not. Stay there until I call you. Athena, you need to strengthen our forces, but secretly the information should not leak out. Ransome, you keep checking on him, ok and also disguise and go out", said Lucy, " Meanwhile, I will check the trails of Li Shen and make sure that if he's in the nation, he's not able to get out. We're going to corner him from all sides. "
