Azie's POV

"Heard you whacked someone's face last night?" Bro, this is the sixth time. I just nodded at my classmates who keeps on asking me about what I did outside the university the other night.

Just how fast the gossips travel here to these people who can't obviously live a day without another tea.

"That's a good one there, Azie." I know right.

"So, gow does it looked like for you? Detention? Community service? Going to jail or something?" I frowned. No need to tell me that.

"I wish I put more force to his nose." I stated and they laugh. Who won't? They already know how violent I am when talking about justice.

Right. I just hit someone's face last night because of some pervy moves they gave and showed me.

"Wish we were there, you know." I just shook my head and took my air pods out of my bag.

I started scrolling and picking out my fave song on my Spotify. Not gonna lie, music makes me forget all the shits going on with my life.

>>Now Playing: Zombie by: The Cranberries<<

Another head hangs lowly

Child is slowly taken

And the violence caused such silence

Who are we mistaken?

I took a quick glance on my wrist watch, there are still few minutes before our class starts and before our homeroom slash first subject and what everyone describes him— The terror teacher- Mr. Dunn step inside the room.

"Anyways, heard another tea." Though I'm wearing airpods, I still can hear their voices. It's like their breakfast every morning's a microphone or some sort. Geez.

But you see, it's not me

It's not my family

In your head, in your head, they are fighting

"What? What is it?"

"Have you heard the news last night? They said that there's this widespread virus from South to East of the city." I heard one of them said.

"Really?"

"I think I've heard that last night too."

"And you know what's weird? You guys know that my dad works as a scientist slash doctor in our government health center for disease control prevention, right? So, he told us on face time that the higher ups will silence anyone who will spread rumors about it while they're still up on how to stop the virus." I shut my eyes and leaned on my chair. That's Leni Ravens top gossiper in the whole school and unfortunately she's my classmate.

"The only thing they can stop the virus for me is killing."

"The hell, girl? That's some sort of violence coming from someone like you huh?"

"Whatever! So, how come it was on the news? What happened?"

"Who knows? Someone from the DCP might tipped them off. But guess what I've heard..."

"Spill it! My god don't cut it off!"

With their tanks and their bombs

And their bombs and their guns

In your head, in your head, they are crying

"Alright, chill. My dad told us that they got a patient at Trevor Hospital who was diagnosed with an inexplicable disease, 3 weeks ago. They first put her in quarantine because the disease they found in her body was kinda eccentric. It might be deadly or can harm people but later on, out of nowhere, their medical director told then to released patient as the result was said to be negative and harmless, like you know, kind of a disease closed from runny nose. But guess what? 3 days ago they found the woman and she turns out to be such psycho!"

"What?"

"What happened to her?" I just shook my head at them and decided to sleep in my desk. Tinanggal ko na lang ang airpods ko sa inis dahil kahit anong gawin ko, naririnig ko pa rin talaga ang mga boses nila kahit anong lakas ng music ko.

"You wouldn't believe me!"

"Why?"

"Well, it's gross because she just chewed someone's-"

"Okay listen up everyone! Get back to your seats! He's coming!" I heard Iva shouted. She's our class vice president. I frowned.

"Yeah, yeah, here comes the old hag." I mutter to myself and yawned. I badly missed my bed right now.

Later on, Mr. Dunn entered the room and casually stood in front of his table, adjusted his specs before turning to face us all.

"You all seemed relax." He said and wandered his eyes inside the quiet room.

Everyone remained silent and waited for what he would say next.

"I'm going to deal with all your silly doings later. Ms. Yva, you will be the assigned person today since you're classroom president got sick." Almost at the same time, we all breathed a sigh of relief because of what he said. I shifted uncomfortably to my seat as I tried to focus my attention on him.

How come Derek is sick? He who loves taking care of his body and health? He doesn't even want to get wet in the rain so he always had an umbrella in his bag and jacket.

Some of us even thought- including me, that he was gay. No bashers please.

"That's why Derek isn't here now." I heard someone say.

"Aww he's sick? Should I go to his dorm later?" One of our classmate joke and everyone starts to grunt.

"Heh!" I don't know why, but I'm starting to feel nauseous minute by minute. Maybe because I skipped meal again.

"Silence, folks. Listen, because what I'm going to announce is important." He cleared his throat and started again.

"I've guessed, you already heard the news lately?"

"Yes sir!"

"Huh? Is there any?"

"What news?"

"About this spreading disease, is that right?" Mr. Dunn nodded and adjusted his specs for the second time before proceeding. I felt him shifted his weight from the other leg which only means he's anxious.

"Right. So now, we– the teachers came to decide that we're going to cancel all the classes starting today due to pandemic outbreak and wanted to make sure your safeties first. So, for us to make all the students of MU safe, I'd like to remind you all to stay indoors for the next few weeks and wait for further announcements from the president regarding this matter. As well as always listen to news broadcasting, drink plenty of water, stay hydrated and healthy. We don't know what this outbreak can bring us. " Hearing this, everyone can't stop hiding their joys.

And I'm one of them. Like, why not? No one wakes up early to take a bath and go to class. No one can be late and no one can be detained because they got late.

No assignments, projects, role-plays, or performance tasks. In short, it'll be our rest. Our naps. And whatsoever you call it.

Believe me, when I say that MU doesn't pressure everyone to get high grades, it's the students' parents.

I am 100% sure, that will be their reason if we are ever asked why we do not want to have a classes.

Although, some of us were living right exactly inside the university. Like yeah, we choose to live on the dorms here since some of us lived far away from this city.

"Quiet." Everyone immediately fell silent after hearing his deep voice.

"Well, to be honest? You shouldn't be happy about it since this is a serious matter and need deep understand to deal with. Regardless, every student must stay inside their respective dorms and aren't allowed to linger inside the campus starting this afternoon." Everyone groaned as well as me.

"Why is that? Thought I can see my crush na!"

"Darn! I still want to roam around after this."

"Bro, why?!"

"Don't every try folks because I'll be one of the school staffs to check if everyone is inside their dorms." Mr. Dunn added.

Darn that.

"Aish kainis!" My classmates reacted differently. I bit my lower lip in annoyance and can't stop talking back either.

"You can't understand us old hag since you ain't a student anymore." I butted in that made everyone shut up and turn their gazes to me. But my eyes were only glued to the teacher in front.

Searching for any hint of anger on his face but all I see is amusement. He smirked and then his face turned emotionless again.

"Maybe you're right about that miss Freyja. But don't think I didn't know what you've just done outside the school? Like beating someone?" He said amusingly.

Ahh shit.

I just bubbled my mouth and rolled my eyes.

"Two hours detention room miss Freyja." He politely said. And since I was irritated by the way he spoke, I sprang in my chair and took my bag.

Everyone was just staring at me as I walked towards the door smiling mischievously.

"My greatest dream sir." I wave him goodbye and then left the room. I even heard my classmates laugh before the door closed.

I shook my head and walked on this quiet hallway of MU towards the detention room.

Darn, how's this? My 3rd time going to DR.

Before I forgot, my name's Amara Azrail Freyja also known as Azie. I'm 17 years old and a 4th-year high school student of M.U. I'm not a gangster or what.

Just an average normal girl with a long brown silky straight hair that reaches my hip, 5′6 height, dark brown eyes, a pointy cute nose, pinkish lips, a small round face, and pale skin. I've been studying at M.U for 4 years since I and my family migrated here to LA from Australia where I grew up. I'm half Filipino and Australian. My mom's Filipina and my Dad's Australian. I'm not raised in the Philippines but visited the country every Christmas break.

"Miss Freyja, you again." I smiled sarcastically at the staff assigned this week to the detention room when I arrived in front of it.

"Ain't happy to see you too Jean," I said then went inside after he opened it.

"Enjoy your 2 hours detention." I just shook my head and then went to the end of the room where a leather brown sofa was positioned before going to bed I first approached the window and then opened it a little. We do have aircon but I don't care since this school is a hella rich. They can pay the electricity bill and stuff.

"This.. so peaceful," I whispered and closed my eyes.
