Chapter 10 - Breaking Limits

"Weighted clothing? What's that?" Arthur asked with a confused look as he didn't know what Yosel was talking about but he would soon find out what that was.

Yosel created a pair of grey pants and a black t-shirt as he walked over towards Arthur before helping Arthur wear the cloths.

"It feels pretty normal to me, I don't understand how this is supposed to help me get stronger-" Arthur began to speak before getting cut off when he instantly fell towards the ground right at the same time that Yosel snapped his fingers.

"I put on about 200 pounds of weight on each article of clothing on you. For now just try to walk with those things on you. It shouldn't be too hard. I'll be waiting inside that house over there," said Yosel as he pointed towards the small cabin before disappearing from Arthur's eyes and going to rest in his house.

Although Yosel had given him some encouraging words, Arthur couldn't even get up, let alone move off the ground. It was even hard for him to breathe because his lungs were getting suffocated by the cloths that he was wearing.

Arthur continued to relentlessly try to get up from the ground for what seemed like hours before finally getting a headache from all that struggle which caused him to pass out.

About a day later, Arthur opened his eyes before yawning. For some reason, his body was feeling a lot lighter than it did before. Even though he couldn't move at all yet, he was no longer struggling to breathe. Arthur was making progress.

Yet, this struggle went on for about a week. During this entire time, Arthur was too tired to move let alone cast a spell to create food for himself. As such, for the past 7 days, he had been outside with no food or water. He had eventually gotten lucky on the 7th day where he was blessed with rain to which he stuck his tongue out so that he could get at least a portion of his energy back. Although it had been 7 days, Arthur didn't feel any different from how he had felt on the first day after he had woken up from his slumber.

The next day though, Arthur was barely managing to stay awake. Even though he had slept the whole night, Arthur couldn't help but feel tired due to him not having ate anything. After a while though, Arthur gave up, he couldn't hold on anymore. He lost his will power to fight and allowed himself to fall asleep.

Inside his dream, Arthur was once again forced to watch the day his parents died with the evil grin of the man in the black cloak. No matter how many times Arthur was faced with that nightmare, he could never get over it. It was his worst nightmare. Even so, his dream did not end there as all of the students and teachers from his school had come forth to torture him. During this, he was not stronger than them, in fact, he was much weaker and as such, they were able to torment him relentlessly. Even though it was just a dream, Arthur woke up from his slumber with tears flowing out of his eyes.

"I seriously hate this world," said Arthur as he stood up from the ground with what seemed like little effort. He didn't feel like he was weak any longer. Although his strength hadn't changed, his attitude did. Arthur always had the potential to move around while those weights were on him however it was his mental state that forced him to stay stuck to the ground. Once his nightmare had given him the final push he needed, Arthur stood up from the ground like nothing was wrong.

After he had accomplished this, Arthur began to walk towards the house which Yosel said that he would be waiting for him in. With a smile on his face, Arthur began to walk towards the house as he was quite happy with what he had achieved. As such, he wanted to show it off to his teacher however there was a slight problem.

Even though Arthur was clearly walking towards the house, he didn't seem like he was getting any closer to it. It took him about 10 minutes to notice as even after those 10 minutes, Arthur seemed to have been right back where he started.

"Huh? What's happening here?" Arthur said with an annoyed voice as he began to speed walk, then run before finally sprinting at the fastest speed he could. With so much anger in his heart, Arthur crashed right into the house without even realizing it as his sole goal was to make it there.

*Clap* *Clap* *Clap* *Clap* *Clap* *Clap* *Clap* *Clap*

Arthur could hear clapping as if it was to congratulate him. Although he was confused, there was only one person who could have been responsible for that noise.

"Yosel!" Arthur yelled out in anger even though the inspector was right in front of him.

"There's no need to yell. I'm right in front of you," said Yosel to which Arthur replied with a death glare. Much like a bull which had seen red.

"Come on Arthur. There's no need to get so angry. It was just to help you train," said the inspector to which even Arthur was surprised even though he was angry. That was because the inspector who seemed like a stern and strict person was showing some compassion.

"Are you sure you're okay?" Yosel asked before Arthur quickly changed the subject as he wanted some answers first.

"Now! Tell me why the hell you made me wear something so heavy? Then right after that, you made it impossible for me to reach you!" Arthur yelled out.

"But you see Arthur, in just a simple week, you managed to go from not even being able breathe while also being stuck to the ground to now being able to sprint with 400 pounds on your body. Further more, you can sprint even though you were being repelled back with my spell," Yosel said with a smile.

"Let me just show you what I mean," said Yosel with a smirk.
