Darwin stood before the Jade magic awakening tablet, slowly he put his palm on it.
A mysterious energy flowed from the Jade awakening tablet into his body.
Darwin was anxious, for others this was just a ceremony were they awakened magic so they could play around with their elements but to him this was his only way to life ,to become strong, to get back what was taken away from him and protect what he had
" Mom...I won't fail you "
However his thoughts were drawn back when he saw that the Jade wasn't lighting up.
"No... no !!!"
Below the youths had already started murmuring
"Why isn't the thing lighting up"....
"Isn't it obvious that he didn't awaken!!"someone sneered
"No....no" Darwin went vision blurry and suddenly
" plop..." he fell down. .He fainted

He was four years when my father died in an accident. Immediately him and his mom were thrown out the family mansion, according to the rules of the clan he was supposed to be groomed as the next heir but his uncle was ambitious and greedy, he wanted his son to be the next heir so he cast him out , surprisingly the other family members didn't object however they were worried that I might possess the same talent as my father so they decided to train him so he could be a lackey for the clan, they sent him to one of the clan's branch in C class city ,Priston city .Darwin realized at a young age how two faced people were he realized that he could only rely on himself to be respected he could rely only on own power. Power that is given to you by someone can also be easily taken back.
"Uhh ..." his eyes fluttered open ,he looked around he was in his room but how did he get here
"Before I passed out completely i saw someone carrying me ....must have been "Sue....mom i failed you "
" Noooo !!" a scream reached his ears .That voice was very familiar
"Mom ....?"he jumped up from the bed and got out of the room , what met his eyes was scene of total chaos. His mom's screaming was coming from outside the house . He rushed out of the house , outside he saw his mom were being dragged away by some people in dark robes he recognised them as people from the Priston city , Starglow clan branch . They were dragging a middle aged woman into a black minivan
" What are you doing with my mom " he asked them. Suddenly the front of the minivan open and two people stepped outside.
Darwin immediately recognized them .It was the head of the clan's branch in the city.The second person was David his uncle's younger son. It could be said that he hated Darwin to the extreme and couldn't edit to get rid of him.
" what the hell are you doing " said Darwin.
"Shut the f**k up, you piece of trash "said David ." if you want your mum come to the Dragon's cave ...hahaha" he burst into laughter
then walked back into the car .Darwin's mom had already been forced into the minivan.
Darwin clenched his fists .He rushed straight ahead to the men in black robes .The head of the Priston city clan branch signalled to two of the men.
"Take care of the piece of trash,Young master David , please let's not waste our time on pieces of trash like him " the car zoomed off . The two gangsters rolled up their sleeves. Blue magic circles appeared beneath their feet
"Water blades"
One raised his arm and and said, suddenly blue light surrounded his arm and condensed into droplets of water .The water curved into sharp blades that shot at Darwin .
"Shit " Darwin cursed as he rolled away. These guys were both Basic water mages. The continued to attack. Darwin was highly trained so he evaded some of the attacks, however he was not a mage and his foes outnumbered him two to one .Two minutes later ,the two mages had already left Darwin was lying in front of the house in a pol of blood
"Mom ..." he struggled up on his feet and walked out of the gates . The so-called Dragon's cave was a name given to a cave almost outside the boundaries of the city There was no dragon in it ,at least that wasn't confirmed ,but long ago a Grandmaster Elite mage with a team of 20 elite mages had entered the cave ,however no one had returned back alive.
Darwin was currently entering such a place, he didn't think that someone as cowardly as David wouldn't dare to be near this place.
