Chereads / [GL] My Last Mission is Take Care of the Heroine's Child / Chapter 21 - Yes, I am missing you very much.

Chapter 21 - Yes, I am missing you very much.

Irina wasn't willing, first because she didn't know how to deal with Bella and second because she wanted to have more time to discuss with her family about that matter.

Well, did Emil really get a girl pregnant? That couldn't just be ignored.

"I'm afraid I can't, I'm too involved in personal matters now."

Bella wasn't surprised, but she had some hope of succeeding this time.

Well, it wasn't her lucky day.

But hearing Irina's voice was already a breakthrough, normally her calls were always answered by a maid and it was the first time that Irina personally answered her.

Maybe we have a breakthrough. Right?!

Okay, but not everything was rosy, Bella was being pressured by her parents to resolve her situation.

The pregnancy was not a secret and everyone already knew that she was pregnant and who would father her.

Bella hasn't been involved with men for a long time and it was very obvious that there was only the chance that Emil was her father.

She was willing to raise the child on her own, she had the wherewithal to do so, but Bella's parents were very adamant about also including Emil's family in the child's upbringing and development.

It doesn't matter if he won't be a Cerdic heir, he must have a father and a mother.

So Bella was being pressured to make the whole situation clear to both sides. "Irina, I don't mean to be annoying, but nine months is going to go by really fast… I hope you don't make me wait that long so I can have a talk with you and your family."

Irina denied it, she wouldn't do that.

How troublesome would it be for a pregnant woman to experience such stress? Not really, all she needed was some time to sort out the Emil situation.

She didn't even know if he was fit to be a father and if he wasn't, what should be done?

"I won't do that, don't worry... I'll be traveling this week, as soon as I get back I guarantee our matters will be a priority."

Bella heard that and felt a little more relieved, it was good to know that she could resolve this as soon as possible. "Okay… Are you okay?"

But now the concern was about Irina's whiny voice.

It was obvious that Bella had noticed that the woman looked different.

You were crying, right?!

Let me know what happened.

Let me help you.

Irina didn't say much, just took a deep breath and concluded.

"It could be better..."

Bella blamed herself a million times for liking a woman so difficult and stubborn, I really must strive to be worthy.

Trying to hide her frustration, she decided to end the call.

When she finally finished everything, she looked at the cell phone with the screen on in Irina's contact and smiled.

She seemed to remember something that might be useful.

She took a small piece of paper and wrote some candy brands and next to that the address of Irina's office.

She looked to her side and there was one of her new assistants, the newly hired Marie. "Marie, I want you to buy these sweets and leave them at this address..."

Marie nodded and quickly did as ordered.

Bella could vaguely remember the day Emil had talked about Irina liking those sweets when they were kids.

Maybe that would make her day better.

"Miss Bella, they're asking if you'd like to send a message with the sweets..."

Bella became slightly thoughtful and quickly smiled.

Yes, she had something in mind. "For the sun to shine a little sweetness is necessary, you are my sun and I can't help the instinct of wanting to make your life sweeter."

Marie looked at Bella with strange eyes, she was amazed that her new boss could say something so casually.

He looked so intimate.

She even stuttered passing the message on to the saleswoman.

"It will be there in half an hour."

Bella nodded in satisfaction, glanced at the clock and felt bored.

She had plans to be with Irina today, but apparently she wouldn't have much more than boredom.

Her parents had gone on a business trip and she was alone inside that huge house, maybe she should join them.

At least she could go out and shop with her mother. "Marie, buy a ticket and book a room at the same hotel my parents are staying at."

"For today?"

Bella got up and threw her cell phone haphazardly onto the couch.

She was bored, she wanted to at least have dinner with her parents that night. "Yes, I don't have anything to do around here... I'm going to take a shower and prepare my suitcase."

"Okay, miss."

Marie nodded and hurriedly called the airport and the hotel.

Far away, at the car rental office, Dominica can finally see the car that Irina had chosen to return.

It was a long wait and in many ways harrowing, but she didn't want to push Irina further so she refused to call her and inquire about her whereabouts.

Let her have her own time.

Irina returned the car without too much trouble, she didn't even pay the full amount of the rent, she didn't use that vehicle for more than two hours, it was a bit embarrassing to charge a daily rate.

Dominica could easily sense her boss's bad mood and all she could do was support her by not bothering her.

Irina's phone rang once more, but this time she looked at the display and saw who was calling her.

This time it was Amany.

Her mood that day was full of ups and downs, she barely had opportunities to talk with Amany.

She missed her.

Irina was the first to speak. "Hi baby... I missed you..."

All she needed right now was a little chat with Amany to make herself feel a little less miserable.

That woman enjoys being the cure for all her pains. "I missed you too… Are you busy?"

Irina laughed softly, perhaps it was the first time she had smiled that day.

Amany was so cute, are you worried? Don't overthink it, you are my top priority. "No, I'm going to the office right now and I'm going to be a while."

"Then let's talk a little, I'm on my lunch break."

"Lunch? So late?"

"Well… I just had time now."

"Amany… Am I supposed to come over there just to make you eat at the right times?"

"Well, I wasn't going to complain... If you need it, you know there's already a room waiting for you."

"I have?"

"Yes, my room is clean and smells good, but it feels empty just with me there... Every day it's raining a lot and I always end up thinking about what it would be like to be with you."

"I definitely wouldn't let you get cold, but you seem to miss me a lot."

Amany let out a light sigh.

Yes, I'm missing you a lot.

What should we do to resolve this?! "Yes, I am missing you very much."
